INNOHOME STOVE GUARD SGK500 Quick guide for installation All electric cookers Allow the Stove Guard to first adjust to the room temperature. 1. Remove the mounting plate by lifting it up. This releases the battery disconnection piece (the Intelligent Heat Sensor emits a signal). Press the Sensor cover once. Remove the battery disconnection piece (keep for possible later use). 2. Choose the installing location underneath the cooker hood and clean the surface of dirt and grease and dry it well. The Sensor should be installed above the central point of the cooker (as much as possible), but with 10 cm distance to the cooker hood lights – 5 cm for LED lights. If a central location is not possible, on the side of the hood is better than in a corner. If there is no cooker hood, the Intelligent Heat Sensor is installed on the wall using a special bracket (available separately). 3. The Sensor must be installed using the mounting plate. Put the plate back on the Sensor, remove the protecting sheet and attach the plate and the Sensor. To ensure that the plate is attached properly, remove the Sensor for a moment and press around the plate with firm presses. Ensure that the Sensor fits tightly on the plate. 4. Turn the electricity off using the main switch or the cooker fuse. Attach the Control Unit to the wall using screws, near the electricity outlet, as close to the floor level as possible. Connect it to the cooker according to drawing (see separate sheet). See safety instructions from chapter 4 prior to installation. 5. Turn the electricity back on. The Control Unit emits a beep, and after 20 seconds another beep. 6. Check that electricity is connected to the socket or that the cooker's control light is lit. Press the Sensor cover until you hear a beep from the Sensor. The Sensor will emit a test alarm and the cooker electricity is cut off (the Control Unit beeps every 5. sec). Restore the electricity supply by pressing the Intelligent Heat Sensor cover once. 7. For full features setup go to user manual: chapter 3 for activating Audible Alarm Detection (external smoke/CO alarms), chapter 5 for Intelligent Timer, Sensor fault diagnostics and extra features for mechanical cookers. If the cooker hood is higher than 65 cm from the cooker top, set the sensitivity level manually (go to chapter 6.1 in the user manual). Familiarize yourself and the user with the safety instructions, see the user manual's first page. www.innohome.com SGK500-200IE3-001 /
