- Discrepancies may exist and it is your responsibility at the bidder to bring to the owners attention
any and all discrepancies you observe to us during the bid phase.
- All notes in red supersede notes from the past project.
- Base Bid: Storm water management (starting this Fall), winter site preparation, railing fabrication
and installation, soil remediation, grading, irrigation, planting and rain garden installation.
- Add Alternate 1: Install owner supplied trash/recycling receptacles and furniture in the SEEL
courtyard and main entry areas.

- Project can be completed as desired by contractor, meaning if possible, soil remediation, backfill, grading and irrigation
installation may be completed as weather allows during the Fall and Winter of 2016/17. Yet, all CU landscaping standards must
be adhered to. If an area will not be completed before Spring then Winter site preparation work, such as infilling around
sidewalks to bring dirt up to safe standards must be completed.
- New black dirt can be worked on as long as it has a low enough moisture content. If the dirt clumps into a ball in your hand it is
too wet. Work can only commence once the dirt is dry enough such that it will not stick to itself and form ball shapes. If the soil
is worked on while it is too moist and the air is compressed out of it, then this soil will be replaced at the contractors expense.

1. Remove all materials from all rain garden
areas, including existing below grade piping.
Piping and rain garden material will be
replaced per specifications. No chemical weed
mitigation in these areas.
2. Spray all open areas noted on plans with
Glysophate product at label rate. Follow UCB
chemical application procedures, which include
increased posting and notification procedures.
3. Remove top 2" soil after existing plant
degradation to remove weed bank and replace
with amended soil as noted in specifications.
