GED Computer-based Testing - Online Registration
1. Go to: www.gedcomputer.com
2. Read, then close the advertisement box that states, “You Pass or We Pay,” which is
effective until the end of November 2013.
3. Click on Register Today, then, Create an Account.
4. Click on the statement that says, “I have not taken the GED test before; create a profile.”
5. Complete a New Candidate Record, and press, Submit.
6. You will receive an email that contains your 12-digit GED Account number. Print this
page.
7. If you don’t see this email, look for it in your Junk Email folder.
8. Click on the link in the email to create a Username and Password. Review your
Candidate Record, then press, Verify.
9. To correct any typos on your Record, call Pearson VUE at 1-877-392-6433.
10. Click on the circled number 2, Register, and complete the required fields.
11. One of the questions asks, “What is your identification type?” Acceptable forms of ID
include a CA driver’s license, CA ID card, military ID, or a passport. If you use a D/L
from out of state, proof of CA residency will be required. School ID is not allowed.
12. Either Save for Later, or Submit Form.
13. Click on the circled number 2, Register, again.
14. Be sure to read all of the statements before you check the boxes.
15. Either Save for Later, or Submit Form.
16. Click on the circled number 3, Schedule Test.
17. Click on the 2002 Series GED Test.
18. Select the language you prefer for the exam; click, OK.
19. On the bottom right, click on Schedule this Exam; press, Next.
20. It you want to complete all tests in two test sessions, it is recommended that you take
science, social studies, and reading on one test date, and math and writing on a second
test date.
21. Read and click on the Non-Disclosure Agreement; click, Next.
22. Select the Test Center where you want to schedule your GED exams and click, Next.
23. Select a test date and time.
24. Click on, Proceed to Checkout, or, Schedule another appointment.
25. Read the GED Testing Service Policies that discusses the rescheduling and cancellation
policy and check the box; press, Next.
26. Enter your credit or debit card information. If you have a voucher number or promo
code, click on, Add Discount.
27. Click on, Submit Order.
28. Sign Out.
