What is the New Zealand Committee? Why serve? General Information The RANZCOG New Zealand Committee (NZC) is
a Constitutional Committee of RANZCOG and has
a Terms of Reference. It is a nationally elected
body of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (O&Gs)
who represent all Fellows, Members, Trainees
and colleagues of the RANZCOG in New Zealand
(NZ).
The NZC provide opportunities for Fellows to
develop knowledge in areas to which they may not
normally be exposed. Serving on the NZC can
give you a chance to have a significant impact on
the College.

are held in Wellington.

Where possible, all travel expenses involved
are paid for in advance, alternatively
reimbursed after the meetings.

The NZC is supported by the RANZCOG New
Zealand office which is located in Wellington.

Elections are held every two years.

A Fellow can serve three consecutive terms
as an elected Committee Member.

The Chair, Deputy Chair, Hon Treasurer and
Hon Secretary are elected by the NZC for a
two year term.

More information on the NZC Terms of
Reference and the College’s Constitution are
available on the College website.

The purpose of the NZC is to discuss and act on
