Sales Engineer – RF-SATCOM

Callisto is seeking to recruit an engineer to take charge of sales of RF products for SATCOM
applications. The ideal candidate should be qualified to degree level in a relevant engineering
subject and have at least three years experience in the SATCOMs industry, of which one year in a
sales or marketing role. Reporting to the CEO he/she will be responsible for the commercialisation of
RF products for ground stations which Callisto has been developing over the past five years. Working
closely with Business Unit Managers the tasks of the Sales Engineer will include:









Establishing and developing sales contacts within the SATCOMs focusing initially on the
European region including Government agencies, commercial industry, satellite operators
etc.
Development of marketing plans and sales strategies including advertising and publicity.
Meeting potential clients, preparing and giving techno/commercial presentations.
Responding to sales inquiries and preparing sales quotations.
Maintaining sales leads database.
Preparing sales forecasts and targets.
Analysis of customer requirements and assistance with new product definitions.
Following market trends.
Product/service cost analysis.
In addition to the broad qualification requirement given earlier, preference will be given to
candidates with the following knowledge and experience:






SATCOM systems and communications technology
Ground station design
RF engineering
SATCOMs Operators and Industry players
European space industry
Soft skills:
o Web site development, maintenance.
o Publicity & advertisement design.
The position will be based at Callisto offices near Toulouse France. The working languages are French
and English. It is a requirement to be fluent in written and spoken English.
Salary range 35K to 45K per annum depending on experience. In addition an incentive bonus could
be considered as part of the package.
