1. Click the Windows button in the bottom left corner of the screen (the old XP Start button). Then
click Control Panel to open the Control Panel.
2. In the Control Panel locate and click View network status and tasks located under Network
and Internet.
3. On the next window, click Manage wireless networks on the left hand side of the window.
4. In the Manage Wireless Networks window, click the Add button to add a new wireless network.
5. Click Manually create a network profile.
6. In the new window, enter the following information:
Network name: SRV-PUBLIC
Security type: WPA2-Enterprise
Encryption type: AES
The rest should be left to default. You can verify with the picture below. Click Next.
7. Vista will give you a message stating you have successfully set up your new wireless network.
However, you are not done yet. Click on the Change connection settings option to further
configure the wireless network.
8. In the new window, verify the settings in the Connection tab. You should not have to change
anything. Click the Security tab to continue.
9. Verify that Security type: WPA2-Enterprise and Encryption type: AES. Also verify that Choose
a network authentication method: Microsoft: Protected EAP (PEAP). Then click the Settings
button.
10. In the Protected EAP Properties window, uncheck Validate server certificate. The rest of the
settings can be left alone. Click the configure button.
11. Uncheck the setting to Automatically use my Windows logon name and password. Click OK
to leave this window. Continue to click OK on the remaining windows to close them out.
12. Soon you will get a prompt in the bottom right corner of your screen requesting additional
information to connect to SRV-PUBLIC.
13. Click the bubble and it will open an Enter Credentials window. Enter in your domain username
and password. This is the name username and password you use to connect to Citrix. Also enter
in SRVFIRE for the Logon domain. Click OK. Soon you will be connected to SRV-PUBLIC. It
does take a minute or two to authenticate your credentials. Congratulations and happy web
