ACADEMIC HONESTY:
Academic honesty is assumed. Cheating, plagiarism (copying of another’s work), and dishonest practices in any
form are against university policy and will result in zero (0) points for the work in question. A second occurrence of
academic dishonesty will result in a failure (F) for the course.
Accommodations for Students with Disabilities
Students with disabilities:
 Reserve the right to decide when to self-identify and when to request accommodations.
 Will register with the Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD) each semester to receive
accommodations.
 Might be required to communicate with faculty for accommodations, which specifically involve the faculty.
 Will present the OSD Accommodation Approval Notice to faculty when requesting accommodations that
involve the faculty.
Requests for approval for reasonable accommodations should be directed to the Office for Students with
Disabilities (OSD). Approved accommodations will be recorded on the OSD Accommodation Approval notice
and provided to the student. Students are expected to adhere to OSD procedures for self-identifying, providing
documentation and requesting accommodations in a timely manner.

ATTENDANCE:
Students are expected to attend all classes and arrive on time. Attendance is mandatory for successful completion
of this course
COMMON COURTESIES:
Students are not permitted to enter the classroom or computer laboratories with food, drink, tobacco products or
spittoons. No active pagers or cellphones are allowed in the classroom.
PROFESSIONALISM: Students are to behave professionally in classroom and in the laboratory. Loud voices or
activities that are seen by the instructor as causing disturbance to the learning environment will NOT be tolerated. A
student or students that cause such disturbances will be warned once by the instructor. Any further disturbance
could result in further penalties such as being dropped from the class.
All submitted material such as laboratory reports, homework assignments, etc. are to be presented in professional
format. Such format will be discussed in class.
TEAMWORK: Students are to work in teams of two or three. All team members are to participate
equally in any team related projects, assignments, or labs.
LATE WORK:
Late work is subject to 5% deduction in points per day late, excluding weekends. No work will be accepted
after one week. A week is identified from the day the work is due to the same day of the next week. Additionally,
No homework or take home quizzes will be accepted after solutions are presented (in class or electronically)
Assessment Activities:
Students will be assessed using exams, quizzes, homework assignments, individual assignments,
group assignments, and/or laboratory work typically distributed as follows.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY:
Any destruction of electronic parts and components caused by misuse, negligence or thievery shall be paid for by the
student responsible at the discretion of the instructor. You are also responsible for the laboratory equipment while
you are using it.
