ASSEMBLY AND OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
HOW SOLAR LIGHT WORKS:
During the day, the solar panel fills the rechargeable batteries with solar energy. At night, the light turns
on automatically. The duration of lighting depends on your geographic location, on the weather and
seasonal availability of light.
CHOOSING THE IDEAL LOCATION:
Choose an outdoor location where the solar panel will get full and direct sunlight for at least 6 hours.
Shade will influence the capacity of the solar panel to charge the batteries enough and could reduce the
time during which the light will be lit at night. The chosen location should not be near strong lighting
sources such as street lights, which could result in the photocell not turning on the light. Solar lamps are
perfect for night lighting of your garden and lawn.
ATTENTION FOR FIRST TIME USE:
Turn the power switch to the “ON” position (at the battery box), or remove the protection band in the
battery box, then the automated system will start. When it gets dark, solar light will turn on automatically.
During the day, solar light will turn off automatically and store energy from the solar panel. If you switch
back to the “OFF” position, the system is shut off to conserve energy.
If the light does not turn on automatically at night after 6 hours of charging during daytime, please check
the following:
(1) Make sure the power switch is turned to the “ON” position.
(2) Make sure the batteries connect well to the poles.
(3) Make sure the solar pannel is placed in a sunny location and that it is facing the sun.
CAUTIONS:
(1) Please note that the lamp is made to work when it gets dark. If it is located in a well lit area, the LED
light may be dim or not work at all.
(2) Even if the batteries were charged at the plant, it is advisable to have them charged a full day before
use to get the best performance.
(3) The solar panel should be kept clean. If it is dirty, it will influence the charging capacity.
INSTALLATION DIRECTIONS:
(1) Take all parts out from the box carefully.
(2) Gently turn and remove the top cover (Part A) from the main part (Part B).
(3) Place the top cover (Part A) upside down, move the power switch from the “OFF” to the “ON” position.
You will only need to do this
once, as the photocell will turn the lights on and off automaticlly every day.
(4) Gently join the top cover (Part A) and main part (Part B) by turning it clockwise to tighten.
(5) Connect the pole (Part C) and mounting stake (Part D) together by turning it clockwise to tighten.
(6) Connect the main part (Part B) and pole (Part C) together by turning it clockwise to tighten.
(7) Choose an ideal location outdoor and press the solar light into the ground deep enough that the light
is held firmly in place.
REPLACING THE BATTERIES:
If the light stops working after an extended period of use, the battery may need to be
changed.
(1) Remove the top cover from the main part (see image 1).
(2) Remove the cover of the battery compartment (see images 2 and 3).
(3) Replace with the same type AA Ni-Cd rechargeable batteries 1.2 V 600 mAh
(see image 4).
(4) Replace the cover of the battery compartment.
NOTE: The LED bulbs will work for over 100,000 hours, you will never have to replace
them.
