HERITAGE
We can trace our roots back to 1898 when Ebenezer Gomme began
handcrafting exquisite furniture. His grandson Donald continued
the family tradition, when he founded G Plan in 1953.
Throughout the years, the styles may have changed, but our

These luxury cushions are made up of a premium foam core
with a channelled fibre wrap. They offer the soft and inviting
look of a fibre seat cushion but with a built in ability to retain

foam insert. The foam has excellent recovery characteristics
and also helps to plump the fibre around it.

G PLAN ELEVATE IS OUR INNOVATIVE AND
STYLISH RANGE OF RISE & RECLINE CHAIRS
Sometimes we could all do with a lift. And with our range of Rise & Recline chairs,
you can enjoy a helping hand at the touch of a button. Raising you safely to the
perfect height for standing, then gently lowering you back down. Rise. Recline.
And all points in between. Elevate is designed to assist people with arthritis,
rheumatism and other disabilities.

Reset – Returns chair to the seated position,
with the footrest closed and the back upright.
Elevate – Elevate is activated, gently raising the
chair and allowing you to stand up more easily.
Recline – The back is moved to the reclined position.
Backrest – The back is moved to the upright position.
Footrest – Footrest is raised to a position of your choice.
COMFORT HAS NEVER
BEEN SIMPLER
With our range of Elevate Rise & Recline chairs, complete comfort
is never more than the touch of a button away – it couldn’t
be simpler. You can use the handset to control the backrest
and footrest, along with raising the chair up and down.
And when you find your most comfortable position, just press
and hold the standby button for five seconds. When the memory
button flashes, press it and your perfect position is stored.
Now you can return the chair to that exact position any time
you want just by pressing the memory button. It’s as easy as
that to find complete comfort with Elevate Rise & Recline chairs.
Standby – Activates and lights up the handset for 20 seconds.
The handset is set to ‘sleep’ mode if it hasn’t been used for
15 seconds – to reactivate it, simply press and hold for 1 second.
Memory – This allows you to store your favourite position.
With your chair in the desired position, press the ‘Standby’
button for 5 seconds and the ‘Memory’ button will flash green.
Then simply press the ‘Memory’ button to store the current
position. Once stored, holding down the ‘Memory’ button will
return the chair to the position stored. To store a new position,
simply repeat this process.

• Avoid sitting on upholstery with heavily

toys, buckles and jewellery.
• Trim off loose threads with sharp
scissors as pulling them could leave
a hole.
• Recliner mechanisms should be
operated with care and children should
be prevented from playing on them.
• Keep furniture away from direct heat
or air conditioning as this can damage
your upholstery.
• Keep pets off furniture to avoid
scratches or marks.

SCATTER CUSHIONS
• Scatter cushions are available in any fabric
as an optional extra.
• All scatter cushions are available as classic
unpiped or classic piped which are 47cm x 47cm
(18.5" x 18.5") when filled. All are duck feather
filled in cotton feather proof cases.
WOOD
• It is our policy to purchase timber from responsible
sources, where reforestation is assured.
• Wood graining and shades may vary from piece
to piece, which is all part of its unique charm.
• You can choose from four different wood finishes
for Carrera, Jasmine and Gemma models –
Mahogany, Oak, Ebony and Walnut.
SEAT SPRINGS
POWER RECLINER MECHANISMS
• We use quality serpentine springs for long
term durability.
• All power action recliners, with the exception of
Eton, are operated with a toggle switch at the side
of the chair or sofa.
• All springs are expertly spaced for maximum
comfort and support.
• Our springs are secured by special lined brackets,
ensuring they don’t squeak when you sit down.
• Eton power action recliner controls are touch
sensitive buttons located on the inside arm
of the chair or sofa.
SEAT CUSHIONS
MANUAL RECLINER MECHANISMS
• All seat cushion interiors use premium quality
foams for lasting comfort and quality.
• All manual action recliners, with the exception
of Eton, are operated with a release handle
at the side of the chair or sofa.
• Malvern has ‘Cold Cure’ (excluding Elevate
chairs) cushions which are individually formed
in their own mould to ensure a standard shape
and density. This ensures maximum comfort,
support and longevity.
• Gemma, Jasmine and Linear models are available
with a choice of foam or foam/fibre wrapped
seat interiors to suit your preference.
BACK CUSHIONS
• Back cushions use high quality fibre, which helps
cushions maintain their shape after use. It also
maximises the durability of the furniture.
• Fibre is held in compartments separated by
baffles to prevent thinning of heavily used areas.
• Eton back cushions feature a premium foam
interior with a fibre wrap.
• Venice back cushions feature a premium
foam interior.
• The Eton manual recliner action is operated by a
loop located on the inside arm of the chair or sofa.
• Our market-leading recliner actions support you
in a variety of comfortable positions.
• All mechanisms, electric motors and rechargeable
power packs come with a 2-year warranty.
