Technical application guide - Philips PAR30S and PAR38
PHILIPS PAR30S and PAR38 PAR lamps featuring Crisp White technology is suitably designed
for spot and general lighting applications in retail industries. Its unique light quality enhances
merchandise's natural appeal while enabling lighting designers to create the perfect warm
atmosphere. Unlike a conventional halogen PAR lamp, the Philips PAR LED Lamps featuring
Crisp White technology has low power consumption (12.5W and 14W per lamp of PAR30S
and PAR38 respectively) and an extremely long 50,000 hour life. This combination ensures
minimum maintenance and energy cost in retail shops while maintaining the brilliant colors.
The PHILIPS PAR LED Lamps featuring Crisp White technology design is especially suitable for
applications such as:
– Retail sales / picture windows / feature displays
– Corridors / Stairway / Washroom
– Lobby / Reception areas
Application notes
• Operating open air ambient temperature range for PAR30S is -20°C to 40°C Tc max =75°C
for rated life and PAR38 is -20°C to 35°C Tc max =70°C for rated life. (See Lifetime +
Sustainability Curves). Storage temperature range is between -40°C and 65°C, humidity
range is between 10% and 90%
• Designed for indoor environments and open fixtures with PAR30S and PAR38 lamp-holders
that offer sufficient space (10mm free air space)
• Not for use with dimmers
• This device is not intended for use with emergency exit fixtures or emergency lights
• For use in fixtures that can structurally support a lamp weighing 0.23 kg for PAR30S and
0.40 kg for PAR38
