Our mission is to create, manage and fund sustainable microfinance institutions accessible to customers excluded from the existing banking system. We work with financial institutions and civil society initiatives. Our actions are based on sound knowledge of the local environment and client demand for financial services. FIDES implements and supports financial institutions especially in rural areas through technical and institutional innovations for the development of sustainable financial services even in areas where population density is relatively low. Through our investment company SMH, we also provide capital to MFIs. Our work is marked by an entrepreneurial approach to taking responsibility and a real commitment to development. FIDES is currently managing and creating several new institutions and intends to reinforce its team with experienced professional to act as: Chief Executive Officer / General Manager (Expatriate Position) Tasks and responsibilities: The General Manager will be responsible for the creation and/or the development of one of our new microfinance institutions. The institution is operating in rural and urban areas. The General Manager will work closely with and under supervision of the FIDES Management Team at FIDES Headquarter. Within the general mandate of FIDES for the development of the institution, the General Manager will be in charge of the following fields: • Strategy design and implementation • Implementation of the Business Plan including the achievement of the Key Performance Indicators • Building the systems of the new institution within a greenfielding process • Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Audit Committee and the Shareholders • Ensuring compliance with the legal and regulatory framework of the country, the requirements of the supervisory authorities and the norms of the operational policy guidelines •Team creation and capacity building • Staff management • Understanding of client demand and markets • Development of products and delivery mechanisms Skills and qualification: • In-­‐depth practical knowledge and hands on experience in building financial services for low income population segments • At least 5 years of experience in management responsibilities • At least 5 years of experience in microfinance operations in developing countries • Education: master’s degree or equivalent in a related field • Proven track record in successful microfinance institution building • Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills • Practical knowledge on financial service delivery and marketing Route de la Fonderie 6, CP53
