2016 SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
The Illuminating Engineering Society of St. Louis is proud to announce its school scholarship
program for 2016. We will be awarding up to three scholarships for the fall of 2016. Each
scholarship will be a onetime only award of $2,000.
APPLICATION FOR SCHOLARSHIP AWARD:
1. Applicant must be attending an accredited college, university, or college technical
school and pursuing a course of study that includes lighting.
2. Applicant must submit the official IES St. Louis Application Form. (see attachment)
3. An essay explaining why he/she deserves the scholarship and how lighting has
impacted their life shall accompany the application. (Discuss financial need if
applicable)
4. Applicant must attach a reference from an instructor, teacher, or counselor.
5. Current GPA documentation must also be included.
6. Applicant must have at least a part time residence in the St. Louis metropolitan area
(60 mile radius).
7. Scholarship recipient(s) shall provide class schedule and enrollment verification for fall
2016 before any scholarship payment is issued.
Applications must be received by Friday, June 24, 2016.
Scholarship recipients will be selected by the current IES St. Louis board members.
