Three-Terminal Ground Resistance Testers
®
BIDDLE Model 250260 is the tried and proven analog version.
It is a simple, three-terminal tester that will tolerate 2 V peakto-peak voltage interference.
The MEGGER® DET62D is also an economical, three-terminal
model but with autoranging digital display, and an industry best
40 V peak-to-peak tolerance. Six 1.5 V “AA” dry cells provide
power for the DET62D, allowing 700 typical 15-second tests.
Addition of a fourth terminal permits resistivity (soil conductivity)
testing in addition to resistance (installed ground) measurements.
The DET3/2 has a 4-position range selector switch and is powered by an always-ready hand-crank generator. It offers 20V peakto-peak interference tolerance.
The DET5/4R and DET5/4D are autoranging for either 3- or 4terminal testing and tolerate 40V peak-to-peak interference.
