Proven Methodologies
All of our service engagements are guided by our proven methodology we call the Global
Delivery Model. EMC’s Global Delivery Model ensures that we deliver rapid, flawless
implementation services to every customer in every engagement whether in New York,
Hong Kong, or London. The extensive training the EMC Global Services delivery team
undergoes before they engage with a client validates the uniqueness of our methodology.
Connectrix QuickStartES Implementation
Our Global Delivery Model is used in every engagement. This ensures that even the most
finite project meets our customers’ expectations. Here is what you can expect with your
Connectrix implementation:
Phase I: Discovery and Analysis
We meet with you and your support team to carefully plan and design your Connectrix
implementation, resulting in a thorough Statement of Work. Once you have reviewed and
approved the Statement of Work, we schedule the implementation.
Phase II: Implementation Planning
EMC Global Services will survey your systems and software; verify your host configuration;
and validate with you that your environment is ready for Connectrix implementation.
Phase III: Implementation and Testing
Our complete implementation service includes implementation of switch zoning and
security; installation and configuration of Navisphere® Manager for CLARiiON storage or
SAN Manager™ for Symmetrix storage; and validation of host connectivity to storage and
switch. Additionally, once Connectrix is installed, we perform acceptance and validation
testing.
Phase IV: Documentation, Functional Product Overview, and Acceptance
After installation is complete, EMC will perform a Functional Product Overview of
Connectrix features with a designated member of your IT staff. Additionally, we will
recommend additional EMC Customer Education courses to ensure you get the maximum
benefit from your Connectrix software.
