In the GRAPH Mode, follow these steps to graph a unit circle:
a. [SHIFT] [MENU] (SET UP) and set the eighth line to Deg.
b. On the Y= screen, press [F3] (TYPE) [F3] (Parm).
c. Enter the equations Xt1 = cos T and Yt1 = sin T.
d. Set the View Window to
Xmin = -3.15
Xmax = 3.15
Xscale = 1
Ymin = -1.55
Ymax = 1.55

In Radian mode, the calculator treats the input of a sine, cosine, or tangent function as a
radian measure instead of a degree measure. It also returns a radian measure when you
use the inverse functions. In the RUN Menu, to put the calculator in Radian mode, press
[SHIFT] [MENU] (SET UP) and set the fifth line to Rad.
Overriding Radian or Degree Mode
In Radian mode, enter a degree symbol, °, after the input if you want the calculator to
override the Radian mode and treat the input as a degree measure. To find the degree
symbol, as well as other angle options we will use, press [OPTN] [F6] [F5] (ANGL).
Until you press [EXIT], these angle options will remain on the screen.

You can use the override feature to convert an angle measure from radians to degrees or
from degrees to radians.
For example, follow these steps to convert 30° to radians:
a. Set the calculator to Radian mode.
b. In the RUN Mode, enter 30°. 30° is equivalent to .5235987756 radians.
For another example, follow these steps to convert 7π/12 radians to degrees:
a. Set the calculator to Degree mode.

b. In the RUN Mode, enter (7π/12) . So (7π/12) is equivalent to 105°.

The calculator does not have built-in secant, cosecant, or cotangent functions. You must
calculate these functions by using the appropriate reciprocal identities.
For example, in Radian mode,
To evaluate sec (π/6):
To evaluate csc (π/6):
To evaluate cot (π/6):

With a link cable, connect the EA-100 to the calculator. Be sure to push in each plug
firmly. Choose the PRGM icon from the Main Menu. Highlight the program SOUND.
Press [F1] (EXE). If the SOUND program is not listed, you will need to load the program
provided at http://www.keymath.com/DAA/calculator_programs.html.
Ring a tuning fork press [TRIGGER] on the EA-100. The program only collects data for
.02 seconds and displays the graphs. Press [EXE] to view the repeat options. If the graph
does not look like a sinusoidal curve, repeat data collection. When you have good data,
time data will be stored in List 1, and frequency data will be stored in List 2.

Graphing Polar Equations
Follow these steps to graph a polar equation:
a. In the GRAPH Mode, press [SHIFT] [MENU] (SET UP) and set the eighth line to
Deg. Press [EXIT].
b. While the Graph Function Menu is on the display, press [F3] (TYPE) [F2] (r =) to
specify a polar coordinate expression.
c. Enter the expression using [x,θ, T] for the variable θ.
d. Press [SHIFT] [F3] (V-Window) and set an appropriate window. One is shown
below.
e. Press [EXIT] and then draw the graph.

Tracing Polar Coordinates
You can find the coordinates of points on a polar graph by pressing [SHIFT] [F1] while
the graph is displayed. The coordinates displayed for a polar coordinate graph are (r,θ).
Use the [ ] and [ ] keys to trace the graph.
