Andrews Electronics to Locate in Northern Kentucky
Consumer Electronics Aftermarket Service and Supply Chain Leader to
Lease 73,500 square feet in Boone County facility and hire 25 employees

(COVINGTON, KY) February 17, 2009 – Andrews Electronics, a division of MTI-Andrews
headquartered in Hillsboro, Ore., is pleased to announce that it will establish operations in a
Boone County, Ky. facility. Andrews Electronics is one of North America’s largest consumer
electronic parts distribution and reverse logistics companies, providing a variety of essential
services to manage the lifecycle of their customers’ supply chains. “Andrews Electronics will be
a fantastic asset to Kentucky’s business base,” said Gov. Steve Beshear, commonwealth of
Kentucky. “Northern Kentucky has the skilled workforce necessary to attract high-tech
companies like Andrews Electronics. We look forward to their contribution to the local economy
as they grow right here in Kentucky.”
The company’s consumer electronics parts and accessories processing center will be located in
73, 500 square feet of space in the Skyport V Building located at 2265 Progress Drive in Hebron,
Ky. This new operation will allow Andrews Electronics to economically ship products to any
location in the country in two days or less. “Northern Kentucky offers a skilled and available
technology workforce,” said Chris Remy, COO, MTI - Andrews. “We will begin hiring qualified
workers very soon.” Remy added, “The cooperation among local and state representatives helped
attract Andrews to the region and ultimately choose Northern Kentucky as the best fit for our
company and this facility.”
Andrews Electronics will initially hire 25 employees. The Skyport V Building is owned by Duke
Realty Corporation and is located in Boone County, 10 miles south of Cincinnati. “Current
economic times underscore the importance of a diversified business base and Northern Kentucky
works hard to attract new companies to the area while keeping our existing business base
successful,” said Gary Moore, Chair-Elect, Northern Kentucky Tri-ED and Boone County JudgeExecutive. “We are pleased to welcome Andrews Electronics to Boone County and Northern
Kentucky. We are confident that they will find the skilled labor force and low cost of business
important attributes of their new environment and ongoing success.”
Andrews Electronics was preliminarily approved for up to $400,000 by the Kentucky Economic
Development Finance Authority as part of the Kentucky Jobs Development Act (KJDA) program,
an incentive program designed to create technology and service-related employment to the state.
