Managing Director, Global Alliances
As the Managing Director of ASME’s Global Alliances,
Mike is responsible for developing and implementing
ASME’s global strategy. This includes aligning
activities within ASME for greater global impact and
growing ASME’s strategic partnerships with clients
and other engineering organizations around the globe.
During his 16 years career with ASME Mike has held varied responsibilities
including management of ASME’s Gas Turbine and Petroleum Institutes, ASME’s
Professional Development and Training activities, Emerging Technology
Incubator, International Operations and International Member Support.
Before joining ASME, Mike worked for the US Department of Commerce at the
American Embassy in Paris where he managed trade promotion activities
including US Pavilions at French trade shows and helped US companies develop
and implement marketing strategies in France.
He was also the Managing Director of Adhesion & Associés, the US subsidiary of
a French B2B marketing company whose focus was attracting US corporate
investment in Europe.
Mike has lived in Paris for ten years and has traveled to over 65 countries.
Fluent in French, Mike holds a BA in Government and French from St. Lawrence
University and became a Certified Association Executive in 2005.
Founded in 1880 as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, today's ASME is a 125,000member professional organization focused on technical, educational and research issues of the
engineering and technology community. ASME conducts one of the world's largest technical
publishing operations, holds numerous technical conferences worldwide, and offers hundreds of
professional development courses each year.
