Engineering Research Building (ERB) - The New Home of the CSE Department, January 2011 The $126 million facility provides approximately 230,000 square feet of space for state-of-the-art, multidisciplinary research and teaching labs and classrooms. It includes faculty and graduate student offices, conference rooms and other support areas. Each room is equipped with leading edge technologies to enhance the students' learning and research capabilities. CSE Department The CSE department is committed to excellence in research and teaching with a large number of its faculty receiving NSF, NIH and other types of funding. The department has been working closely with industry and the faculty have received many awards for innovative research. CSE students are highly sought after because of the excellent training and computer skills they have acquired while at UTA. CSE is a very friendly and nurturing place where students find it easy to achieve and receive needed mentoring. Currently, the CSE department has 28 tenure track faculty and 11 teaching faculty covering over 50 course offerings. A high percentage of its students enter into industry after graduation and many of them become leaders in their company. It offers working professionals the opportunity to pursue a Master's degree while working. Evening courses will be open to full time and part time students. The program offers evening courses that are the most in demand in the IT industry with concentration in the following areas: Q: How long will the degree take to complete? A: Two years (3 courses/semester), three years (2 courses/semester) or longer for part timers. Q: What is the tuition cost?* A: It is estimated that the total tuition will be about $15,000 ($1250/course x 12 courses). Q: What is the difference between this degree and the regular Master’s degree? A: They are exactly the same except that all courses are scheduled in the evening to enable working professionals to complete a degree after work hours.
