Ozolkalns proudly offers the longest skiing tracks in Latvia - various natural downhill tracks till 500 m.
Complex offers 6 slopes for different levels, including training and children tracks. Equipment rental, cafe
are available for visitors as well as tips and tricks from skiing and snowboarding instructors.
Cīrulīši nature trail by cross-country skis

Trail Cirulisi can be enjoyed not only by walking, but aslo by cross-country skis. The route goes close
to river Gauja and provides a glimpse in development of the valley. Visitors can see significant natural
objects such as Cirulisi and Bride’s cave as well as enjoy Mirror cliffs with a snow hat. Ruins of handmade
bobsleigh track reminds about great sportsmen who built it in 1964.
Ski - biathlon complex “Priekuļi”

Complex offers illuminated, various difficulty level tracks for cross-country skiers and skating area.
Ski rental and locker rooms are available too.
Swimming-pool “Rifs”

This is the right place for active recreation for any age. Enjoy your time at the big swimming pool, hydro
pool with water jets, gym, aerobic halls or different type of sauna.
Horseback riding

Visitors can reach the lake Ninieris and surrounding forest via horseback riding, but for beginners there
will be special area inside the farm territory. Children will enjoy ride with a pony and donkey.

Zagarkalns is one of the leading hills in the winter entertainment sector in Baltics. Complex offers 10
tracks of different difficulty levels and lengths, equipment rental, shop, inventory maintenance as well
as certified instructor service and children’s room so it is very comfortable for families with kids. During
weekends 3-10 year old children can participate in skiing school.

Concert hall “Cesis” is attractive to cultural heritage and temporary art lovers. Repertory includes
high quality concerts, theatre, movies and visual exhibitions. It is possible to book a guided tour.
An excellent view point is at the 6th floor where Cesis Vine bar is located.
Recreation complex and Zoo “Rakši”

Cesis Exhibition hall is located in the former stables/cart-house of Cesis castle manor. Exhibitions
of Latvian classics and also contemporary artists in various forms of art can be seen here as well as
chamber music concerts, lectures and theatre.

In the open-air recreation complex you can see llamas, guanaco, alpacas, two humped and one humped
camels even in the strongest frost. Make sure that you try the delicious pancakes made from camel milk
at the cafe.

Cesis Medieval Castle visitors take a glimpse of the old times by exploring it with a lantern. The Cesis New Castle
was the manor house for Count fon Sievers. Manor’s tower is great place to enjoy town’s panorama. One of the
most exciting places to discover history for children is Family room - full of surprises. It is possible to explore
Castle complex in a pre-booked guided tour.

the right place to see variety of traditional clothes as well as purchase items by masters. You can also

Farm owners offer exciting horseback riding through forest trails near lakes Driskins and Raiskums, up
to 5 hours. Pony will be the most suitable for children. Time on sledges pulled by horse is really enjoyable during winter rich with snow. It is possible to see German swamp sheep, mini goat family, various
domestic birds and even Vietnamese pig.

At the winter time watermill trail becomes a Light Park. Along the path visitors can enjoy unusual views
of the small river Melderupe and its waterfalls enriched with colourful headlights, candles and torches.
Illuminated stained-glass windows at the mill ruins create even a surreal atmosphere.
