HOW TO REMOVE DOOR MECHANISM? (RM3) TOOLS NEEDED: #2 and #3 PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWDRIVER, FLAT HEAD SCREWDRIVER, PENCIL Hinge Cover Screws Door Hinges Cap and screw Step 1: Open door and remove 2 door hinge cover screws with #2 Phillips head screwdriver. Step 2: Trace and mark around the door hinges with a pencil. Close door and lock handle as shown above. Remove 6 door hinge screws with a #3 Phillips head screwdriver. * Do not have fingers between hinge and hinge block while removing bottom screws. Step 3: Remove door from the tub and place the door on a flat surface. Be careful not to scratch or damage the gelcoat. Open white screw cap cover and remove screw from handle. Remove handle from door. Screws Screws Step 4: After removing handle, remove 2 screws as shown above. Step 5: Remove white circle piece. Step 6: Remove 2 screws on bottom of door mechanism. Pull mechanism straight out of door. HOW TO INSTALL DOOR MECHANISM? (RM3) TOOLS NEEDED: #2 and #3 PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWDRIVER, FLAT HEAD SCREWDRIVER, PENCIL Hinge Screw holes Step 1: Place new or repaired mechanism in door as shown above. Screws Step 2: Install two 10-24 x 1” screws. As shown above. Step 3: Insert white circle piece. Attach with two 10-24 X 1/2” screws. If screws will not thread into mechanism, go to Step 4. If screws thread properly and tighten, skip to Step 5. Cap and screw Step 4: If small screws will not attach to mechanism, remove the 10-24 x 2 ½” screw used for the handle and place in center hole of white circle piece. Thread enough to get screw to hold and pull outward on screw. This will pull the mechanism closer to the white circle piece allowing the 2 small screws to thread in properly. Tighten 2 small screws and remove the handle screw. Step 5: Place handle back on door and add the 10-24 x 2 ½” screw and white screw cap cover. Tighten screw and close white screw cap cover. Step 6: Put door back on tub. Pull down on door hinge and add 3 hinge screws to bottom. Then add 3 hinge screws to top. Line door hinge up with pencil marks that were made before door was removed. Screws can be loosened or tightened as needed to line door up with lines. After door is in correct position, tighten all hinge screws with #3 Phillips head screwdriver.
