Who are we?
All AET programs are applied engineering and
technology-based with the majority of courses providing
quality experiences in our state-of-the-art laboratories.
Our faculty members are experts in their discipline and
they stay current in their fields through conducting
scholarly research and continually engaging in
professional development activities.
What do we do?
The AET department's primary purpose is to prepare
advanced technology/engineering management
graduates and contribute to the economic development
of the region.
Our graduates are well prepared for careers in their
respective fields. They are prepared to enter into wide
ranges of positions in industry, business, education and
the government.

Engineering Management
The Engineering Management program is the AET Department’s response
to an increasing need in the region for industrial personnel who are
capable of solving engineering related problems that require a stronger
mathematical and scientific background.
The EM program is designed to enhance the technology base of the region
with concomitant educational and long term economic benefits.

Learn the management, engineering, technology, and production analysis

hydrology, 3-D surface modeling, and site layout

communication circuits, communication systems, microprocessor

MS Engineering & Tech. Mgmt
The MSET is designed to prepare to meet the
requirements of industries, businesses and
service organizations for competent applied
engineering professionals who are capable of
managing personnel, technical means and
facilities in our complex and continuously
changing industrial organizations.
Industrial Education
The Industrial Education degree is designed to prepare
Engineering and Technology Education and Career and
Technical Education (CTE) teachers for public/private
schools, and CTE programs in the state of Kentucky.
• Occupation-based Career and Technical Education
– Prepares Occupation-based Career and Technical Education Teachers
• Engineering and Technology Education
– Prepares teachers for KY school system.
MS Career & Tech. Education
The degree is structured to allow individuals to pursue
career advancement in career and technical programs
at the secondary and postsecondary level in teaching
and administration, or to prepare technologists with
advanced technical management skills who are capable
of managing personnel training and facilities.

• One of the factors influencing industries/businesses To
establish their companies, such as SRG, KDMK, etc., in
the region is the availability of skilled workers.
• Based on recent statistical data manufacturing
industrial firms in the US need many more of the type of
skilled graduates we prepare.
• Unemployment in MFG is less than 8.4 whole the
nations unemployment rate is 9.1.

• With an average salary of $45,000, just 45 AET program
graduates add more than $2,000,000 annually to the
economy.
• The economy is also bolstered by graduating students
