Last year we simply asked you to go out and ride our gear.
Well, you did. We had another year of watching the hard
work blossom into a brand that is filling board racks all over
the world. It’s hard to express the feeling of spending a day
on the water and seeing boats towing riders having the time
of their lives on our products. It makes the sleepless nights
sitting up with the team talking product ideas all worthwhile.
It reminds us of the never-ending travel schedules, product
testing the craziest of ideas and riding no matter how
cold the water. At times these tasks seem daunting. Those
thoughts go away when you see someone pull their first
legit method, or a beginner fall in love with a product that
you spent countless hours brainstorming about. This year
is no different. We took our three pro-model boards to the
shaping room. We also have designed a brand new Kink
shape with some innovations that will make it change its
ride with every tune. We took our industry leading boots to
beauty school making them not only the best selling, but
also the best looking. We created an unmatched fit to go
along with the unmatched function of Hinge Tech. We have
created a new wakesurf board to compliment our line that
is now four boards deep. And that’s just the beginning….

ABSOLUTE
We celebrate our longest established pro model with a re-design to make
the most rider-friendly wakeboard unconditionally superior. When Zane
went to the drawing board ten years ago, we didn’t know what we were
getting into. Over the years, the Absolute has been a staple in our line,
and a shape that anyone can jump on and feel comfortable. Many of
the Absolute’s innovations can be found on other boards on the market.
Using long angled base molded fins for bite, as well as a cupped rail for
extra hold, the Absolute will carry you to the wake with an edge that is
unmatched. We tamed the top shape to carry the stiffness of the board
throughout the whole length, deepened the center spine to dampen
the landing, and kept the quick rocker line. When it was all said and
done, Zane gave it his stamp of approval. That promise carries a load of

TRANSCEND
Why drastically change a shape that is loved by most everyone? We
didn’t, we just made it better. Last year’s Transcend brought a new
fin technology that changed the way the board bites the water on
edge. This engineering breakthrough enables you to make the molded
fins longer by bolting on extensions which changes the way the board
releases from the wake. For the new 2009 Transcend, we have perfected
this design. The molded fins have been sharpened to reduce drag and
hold a stronger edge. We also widened the board by a quarter inch
adding surface area for more speed and increased pop off the wake.
We took our center spine technology and ran with it. This board has the
deepest center spine that runs the complete length of the board. The
spine not only breaks the water to stomp landings, but creates an edgeto-edge response that is lightning fast. The result is a surfy smooth feel
that is very poppy off the wake and is the softest landing Transcend ever.
During the testing process, Andrew was so excited about the new design,
he tried to steal the prototype several times. When you love a shape as
much as Andrew, and the rest of the team, they get creative on making

The shape that changed boards forever. When we first released Trevor’s
shape it was met with some criticism. It was ridiculously wide compared
to industry standards. The naysayer’s soon realized the huge benefits the
extra surface area provided. Now most every board on the market is
constructed with extra width. The wide shape offers more board to push
off the wake, and helps cushion hard landings in the flats. V-Tech makes
this all possible, and performs like no other board on the market. The
tip and tail have a deep V shape, which is similar to the bottom of a
boat. This enables the Marius to rock on edge with ease. A dual center
spine provides soft landings when coming down from high altitude. The
Marius is a sports car when it comes to edge changes. It is our fastest
board in the line, as the continuous rocker makes it glide across the water
effortlessly. We have dished out the area above the V-Tech, creating a
feather light construction in the tip and tail where it matters most. With the

scene. Always using the latest fashion trends and colors, the Faction for
2009 definitely follows those guidelines. Purple you ask…? Just you wait.
The Faction board is the fastest board in our line. Using a continuous
rocker pattern and a completely smooth bottom, there is nothing to hold
it back. The optional four aluminum fins will add a bite to your edge like
none other, and the center spine will provide a soft cushion when landing.
Designed to be perfect for the rail park, or it can be quickly transformed
into a wake charger as well. The Faction is constructed with a stiffer layup creating that much needed snap off the wake. This is a deck that can

The Kink has been totally redesigned with a new shape for 2009. A four fin
pattern gives you unmatched edge hold into the wake. These fins have
the ability to slide forward and back creating a different ride on each
corner. If you want the board to grip, slide the fins to their farthest back
position giving them the most bite. For a looser feel, slide them forward.
For those who want to change their ride when riding switch, make each
end of the fin configuration unique. The Kink also has a large center spine
that travels from tip to tail. Landings are pillow soft. The double wingtail
design makes the board sit deeper in the water when riding flat, adding
to that important tracking feature to the package market. Adding an
additional size for 2009 was also on the plate. We have built the perfect
big guy package with a board length of 146cm, and a boot size that will
fit up to a 17… For all you offensive lineman, this package is for you.
When we introduced the Pure package to the market a few years ago,
it was just that; simple, clean, and pure. For 2009, we wanted to keep
those strong qualities, in a new design. Always known as our bread and
butter package, we have upped the ante and placed a new shape
into the mix. With a mellow rocker pattern, cupped rails, and long base
molded fins, it is a true performer. Similar to its higher end siblings, the
Pure for utilizes a huge center spine to help cushion landings, and a bit
of top shaping to add some strength while reducing weight. Available
on the Pure and all our package boards are the patented Hinge Tech
boots. They take away all headaches when getting in and out of your
ride. When the Pure board is paired with the Torq Hinge boots, it will not
only make your wakeboarding life easier, but also leave an extra wad

incorporates a subtle 3-stage that delivers an explosive

ONSET
The ultimate skate. We decided to enter the high end skate
market a couple years ago, but wanted to make sure to do
it right. Bringing an innovative idea to the table wasn’t good
enough. We wanted a name to partner with the new skate
program as well as give influence on our ideas. In comes
Stuart Shinn. Talks with Stu not only gave us fire to go after
the skate program, but allowed us to hang out and watch
him skate on a daily basis. Simply unreal. After the high
fives were finished, we deliver the Onset. We created three
layers of the skate. The top sheet is shaped straight from a
skateboard. It has three layers of poplar laminate formed
with a true concave top as well as large kick tails for the
best ollie response on the market. We then use a seven ply
bottom flat deck for the stiffness needed to keep the rocker
pattern in shape. In between the layers is a tri-density foam
pad that creates the rebound needed to add the snap off
the wake making wake-to-wake tricks bigger than anything
and anyone else. With the top deck using the rebound of the
foam, the Onset is the best responding wake-to-wake deck
on the water. Also coming with optional fins, you have the
choice to have a more locked feel, or learn to ride like Stu
where you pop your tricks so high, there’s no need for them.

DECK
Wakeskaters today demand many skate-inspired features
to compliment their deck and give them the ability to take
their riding to the next level. Meet the Deck. We built a true
concave EVA foam top deck with kick tails to enhance flip
control and ollie power. Optional fins give you ability to add
tracking or remove them for loose ride. Mounted on a seven
ply wood base, the Deck wakeskate has the toughness to
dominate any rail park or a butter set behind the boat. Get
on the Deck and take your skating up a notch.
Going back to basics. With the surge of wakeskating, we
wanted to build an affordable deck and make it accessible
to the masses.
Sometimes that means sacrificing key
features. This is not true with the Base. The common seven
ply flat deck was upped to a nine ply, we used only the best
ash wood that grew in our basement, and sandwiched in a
few layers of Oak to add stiffness. This creates an amazing
amount of snap off the wake. To stick to the roots and give
that skateboard feel, we utilized only the best waterproof grip
tape. Grab the Base and start your skating career today.

The boot collection that has the others scrambling.
High end wakeboard boots have always been a chore
to put on. We put that task to rest when we introduced
the patented Hinge Tech (#7,134,928 B1). Gone are
the days of struggling to get in and out of your boots.
Hinge Tech also solved the issue of heel lift. When the
system is closed you experience zero heel lift due to the
locking mechanism and the built in Achilles pads. Last
year we gave you Switch Hinge, a system that flips the
lever down, and conceals the cable. This year we give
you a suspension system and a redesigned “up” Hinge.
All of this rests on the 6-Plate, with a narrower footprint,
increased torsion stiffness, and a loss of 25% of material
and weight. When the hinge process was perfected,

We totally redesigned the 2009 Vapor with the new

rider that needs extra board control and a quicker
