We will take you step by step through the installation process on both VMWare Workstation and Virtualbox installations. We will then show you how to use putty to connect to the VSR routers and we will leave you with the most basic configurations to try out. This lab is not intended for experienced engineers well versed in CW7 routers. Networking 2 Open Lab 53 The Resilient Branch with IRF in the WAN Awareness This lab is intended for engineers that are well versed in CLI on CW7 routers and you will be asked to use the configuration guides to setup this lab. This lab is designed to show you how IRF can simplify the deployment of a resilient router edge. You should understand routing concepts like BGP, IPSec, VRRP, GRE and IRF very well as this lab will not focus on these concepts but they will all be used. This is an advanced lab. Enterprise Servers 3 Open Lab 20 Workload management using System Resource Orchestrator (SRO) on Linux Open Lab Master The HPE System Resource Orchestrator (SRO) allows seamless resource allocation (CPU, Memory, NUMA affinity…) to applications, users or group of users of Linux systems. SRO allows to safely run several workloads in parallel and to dynamically allocate the right amount of resources at the right time. In this lab, you will deploy various resource policies on realistic workloads (i.e. Oracle DB) and appreciate the power of this tool when used in scale-up servers. Enterprise Servers 3 Open Lab 21 Superdome X hands-on with OS install (Linux, Windows, VMware) Open Lab Master In this hands-on lab, you will learn how to successfully deploy the Superdome X HP’s x86 mission critical server with the choice of your favorite operating system: Linux Red Hat 7.x, Windows 2012 R2 or VMware vSphere 6.0. You will be guided through creating an nPar and successfully configuring the HBA’s for boot from SAN. You will learn how to install the operating system or the hypervisor, and thereafter the appropriate system setup including the required additional software and patches. After the VMware host installation, you will be guided through the deployment of a Windows 2012 Virtual Machine using the vSphere client software. Core & HyperScale Servers 3 Open Lab 10 HPE OneView Overview Lab Open Lab Competency In this lab you will get the basic knowledge about using the GUI of OneView 3.0.
