Professional Instruction for

Oshkosh Product Training Center (PTC) provides
instructors and all related technical literature in
support of the training for Government Personnel,
Service Providers, Vehicle Operators and Technicians.
Our team/instructors prepare operators and
technicians for the demanding world of operating and
maintaining heavy equipment in critical environments
encountered by the military, airport fire and rescue,
refuse, construction and snow removal industries.
Global Classrooms
We provide mobile training teams who conduct
training at customer locations around the world.
We also have a dedicated customer training center
located near our corporate headquarters in Oshkosh,
Wisconsin and a facility in Warren, Michigan.

Oshkosh Product Training Center provides a full
array of maintenance, troubleshooting and operator
training for all vehicles that Oshkosh Corporation
manufactures.
We have developed a blended approach to training,
which leverages the advantages of both classroom
and shop experiences. These training opportunities are
further enhanced with advanced 3D modeling, virtual
task trainers, online learning modules and hands-on
experience. Our stepped systems methodology prepares
today’s War Fighter with advanced and realistic
troubleshooting experiences.

Vehicle Maintenance Training
Vehicle maintenance training provides students
with an expert understanding of all major
vehicle systems, troubleshooting methods
needed to accurately diagnose system faults
and the skills used to repair issues.
EACH MAINTENANCE COURSE
TYPICALLY INCLUDES:
• Vehicle operation review
• Use of MSDs /IETMs and Service software
and literature
• Maintenance inspections and services
• Engine troubleshooting and repair
• Transmission troubleshooting and repair
• Transfer case troubleshooting and repair
• Axle and suspension troubleshooting

• Hydraulic system troubleshooting and repair
• Air system troubleshooting and repair

• Vehicle /variant specific maintenance, including:

Maintenance courses include
55% to 75% hands-on activities.
Course lengths vary depending on the
complexity of the vehicle systems being
covered and typically run from five to seven
days. Each is customizable to meet your
educational and time requirements.

Vehicle Operator Training
Vehicle operator training provides students
with a thorough understanding of major vehicle
systems, their purpose and the skills needed to
safely operate them in real-life exercises.
EACH OPERATOR COURSE TYPICALLY
INCLUDES:
• Cab and exterior familiarization
• Operator daily checks and services
• Driving operations
• Variant specific operations include:
- Trailer operations
- Crane operations
- Lift and tow operations
- Recovery operations
- Fuel Tanker operations

85% to 90% hands-on.
Course lengths vary depending on the

Striker Operator Course
The Striker Operator course will enable students to
understand the theory of operation of the vehicle driving,
fire fighting, piping, air and auxiliary agent systems as
they relate to vehicle operation activities.
The Operator course will also provide the driver of an
ARFF Striker vehicle sufficient information and skills to
minimize the risk of accidents, injuries, and financial loss
due to vehicle accidents.

Air Conditioning Course
AIR CONDITIONING CERTIFICATION
The 3-day Air Conditioning Certification course can
be added to any vehicle course, or run as standalone
