UHF Antenna
Partial Discharge Detection for Power Transformer
The UHF Antenna is designed to measure partial discharge in oil-insulated medium to large power transformers. It is the ideal tool to measure partial discharge activity from the inside of the transformer thus
avoiding to measure interference from nearby high voltage equipment. The UHF Antenna can be used with
either the XDP-II PD detector or the AE-150 localisation system.
EASY TO INSTALL
The antenna comes with DN 50 and DN 80 flange adaptor
A bleeding valve is present on the flange to avoid the air bubble creation
The locking guide on the rod allows proper insertion depth of the antenna
Custom flanges can be supplied
MOST COMPACT ON THE MARKET
The UHF antenna is the most compact antenna for
power transformers on the market. It can be inserted in the transformer via the oil drain valve or the
oil sampling valve. Partial discharge measurement
is then performed from inside the tank to eliminate
noise like corona discharges coming from outside
the transformer. This guarantees sensitive Partial
Discharge measurements.
UHF antenna
When used with AE-150 Partial Discharge pinpointing
system for power transformers, the antenna provides
a trigger signal for acoustic PD synchronization and
de-noising.

LOCKING GUIDE
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
The locking guide allows the user to insert the UHF
antenna in a transformer to a known depth. Simply
adjust the guide on the antenna's rod, lock it, and you
are ready for insertion. The locking guide is made of
high quality aluminum.
