Medium Voltage Soft Starters SAP6000 Soft Starters The SAP6000 SS is designed to operate with standard asynchronous motors. The digital control methods provide smooth acceleration, greatly extending the life of medium voltage motors. Our Soft Starters offer ruggedness and high thermal capacity, where other Soft Starters may be limited, to ensure a faulty-free life service. Sedecal Control offers a wide range of Soft Starter Options by manufacturing a product that is tailored to the specific needs of the client. Previous to the manufacturing phase knowledge about the motor to be started is necessary. Common required data are application of the motor (compressor, fan, pump...), motor rated power, nominal current, nominal voltage, speed, line frequency, motor torque vs speed, motor current vs speed, altitude, ambient temperature or humidity. Useful information also includes the curve of the load torque, starting/stopping times profile and general plant electrical power distribution. Big fans need around 60 seconds to start and pumps around 20s.
