FLSA Status: N Pay Grade: 12A Days of Work: 261 Salary: $24,569 - $36,411 LANCASTER COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT, SOUTH CAROLINA JOB DESCRIPTION, AUGUST 2013 JOB TITLE: COMPUTER SYSTEMS INFORMATION (CSI) OPERATOR/FISCAL SERVICES GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB Under limited supervision, performs varied and complex work in support of the Fiscal Services Administrator, requiring comprehensive knowledge of District policies, procedures and regulations. To assist in the administration of the district office business affairs and to provide services utilizing computer systems resources within the school district office. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Performs the following to include, but not be limited to Bi-weekly payroll data entry maintenance, cafeteria (full time and part time), bus drivers & miscellaneous timesheets (approximately 350-450 employees every two weeks); employee leave/substitute data entry; run Accounts Payable checks once a week; run bi-weekly payroll checks - 4 batches of checks every two weeks; run monthly payroll checks; transmit the monthly and bi-weekly direct deposit file; transmit 401K & 457 file monthly and bi-weekly; transmit 403B file monthly; transmit census file to ING – approximately 4-6 times a year; enter monthly and bi-weekly payroll withholdings and run checks; set up new users in CSI/SmartFusion & Softdocs with security rights; set up new employees in Employee Self Service; set up new employees with direct deposit; create FBMC file at end of month and transmit it; train new bookkeepers on accounting procedures, Softdocs, etc.; fill in for district receptionist for 30 minutes each day during her lunch; print W2s and any replacement W2s; review school activity fund balances monthly; assist bookkeepers with any problems, questions, issues that they have concerning Softdocs & SmartFusion; and other duties as assigned ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS Posses a high degree of proficiency in computer operation, including Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint. Posses working knowledge of basic office procedures and the operation of common office equipment and machines. Self-starter who maintains confidentiality in all matters. Performs related duties as required. \ MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE Requires a high school diploma or Associate Degree or higher preferred. Two years related experience required. Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
