Projecta offers a comprehensive range of battery isolators to suit a variety of applications
and budgets, ideal for recreational vehicles, utility vehicles, boats and trucks. From the entry
level Solenoid Isolator for the price sensitive market offering basic operation, to the more
advanced Voltage Sensitive Relay ideal for running and controlling multiple loads right up
to the highly advanced fully automatic Electronic Isolator.
Each isolator is available as single unit as well as within a comprehensive kit which includes
everything required for an easy and professional installation. The very best of materials
are provided from heavy-duty cable for maximum current transfer and minimal voltage
drop, high quality lugs and connectors, mounting bracketry to a fused distribution terminal
supplied with the high end isolators which cleverly convert the positive battery post of the
auxiliary battery into 3 fused outlets.

A dual battery system (DBS) is recommended when needing to run powerful accessories, such
as an inverter, fridge, or a tail gate loader on a truck, while the vehicle’s engine is turned off.
A DBS allows accessories to run from an auxiliary battery that is independent of the starting
battery, but is charged while the engine is running. A DBS ensures there is always enough
power in the starting battery to start the vehicle. The auxiliary battery can be a different size
and type to the main battery.

IDEAL FOR DEEP CYCLE BATTERIES
Deep cycle batteries cannot be completely charged from a vehicle’s alternator which only
delivers a single voltage, typically 13.8V. This voltage (13.8V) under-charges and reduces
the life of the deep cycle battery. The 3 stage charge delivered by the DC/DC charger inputs
a full 14.4V charge ensuring increased performance and life of your deep cycle battery. The
first stage (bulk) charges the battery faster while the second stage (absorption) ensures
the battery is thoroughly charged. The final stage (float) maintains the battery ready for
use and can be left connected indefinitely.

The DC/DC charger overcomes the problem of voltage drop associated with long cables
commonly used with auxiliary battery installations. By ‘stepping up’ the dropped voltage
using ‘switchmode’ charging technology the DC20 delivers a full 3 stage charge to your
