If malfunctions occur in monitored components, Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) will be stored in memory. In addition, the Troubleshoot high mount brake lamp system malfunctions by performing OBD program using VAS 5051/5052 Tester in operating mode "Guided Fault Finding" . High-mount Brake Light M25 , removing and installing Note: The rear window washer jet is integrated with the high mount brake light and cannot be adjusted. Should the rear window washer jet spray pattern be uneven or not cover the wiped area properly, replace complete high mount brake washer jet assembly. The bulb holder base plate contains soldered-in light emitting diodes (LEDs) that are not replaceable. In the event of LED malfunction, replace complete bulb holder. Removing: Caution! High Mount Brake Lamp Switch off all electrical consumers. Switch off ignition and remove ignition key. - Open rear lid. - Release cover - arrow - from retainers. - Remove nuts - arrows - . - Carefully lift rear spoiler and disconnect electrical connection - 1 - . - Separate hose connection - arrow - to washer jet. Installing: Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following: Note: When installing rear spoiler with high-mount brake light, ensure proper installation of washer hose and electrical harness (in Velcro retainers).
