MemoScanner-Volkswagen/Audi
1. Introduction
Memo scanner is newly developed, specially designed for car owners or
DIYs. With a Memo scanner, you may quickly find out trouble causes of
electronically controlled systems on your car by reading the trouble code
(DTC) shown on Memo scanner, and checking out trouble causes with
attached MANUAL.
Though so small, it is of the same function as special tool of its kind and
applicable to all Volkswagen/Audi models with a 16-pin diagnostic socket.
Notice: AutoScanner may automactically reset while bening disturbed by strong static
electricity. It is normal.

3. Functions

Reading trouble codes: Read DTCs of ENG, AT, ABS, Air Bag.
Clearing trouble codes: After the DTCs of a system being displayed
for 3 times, the Memo scanner will clear the DTCs automatically.
4. Operation
z
z
When the “CHECK ENGINE” light is on, stop the car and apply the
parking brake, start the engine then plug the Memo scanner to the
16-pin socket usually located under the instrument panel in the car.
Trouble codes will be cleared automatically after they have displayed
fo 3 times, they will remain in ECU if Memo Scanner is put out before
displaying for 3 times (or trouble codes will be cleared when press the
“Erase” during displaying the trouble codes, if successfully, it will
display “CLR”.)
