Notice of Revisions to LAUSD Filming Fee Schedule
The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) has revised its schedule of
fees to film, park, or assemble base camps at District-owned locations. A
copy of the revised fee schedule is attached to this Alert and also appears
on FilmL.A.’s website. The new rates take effect September 1.
Although the new fee schedule increases the cost of using LAUSD
properties for film purposes, the District has been responsive to FilmL.A.’s
request that increases be reasonable and justified by a need for costrecovery.
As a result, and as one example, the District has minimized fee increases
for parking only, while adding a surcharge for higher-impact uses such as
base camps and craft services.

Effective 9/1/08
FILMING
Regular Filming:
Basic Rate: $3,100 for 15 hours
Overtime Rate: $140 hour
Overtime Custodial Rate: $31 hour
Student Filming:
Basic Rate: $315 for 4 hours
Overtime Rate: $67 hour
Overtime Custodial Rate: $31 hr
Half-day Filming
Basic Rate: $1,550 for 6 hours
Overtime Custodial Rate: $31 hour
Still Photography
Basic Rate: $363 for 4 hours
Overtime Rate: $70 hour
Overtime Custodial Rate: $31 hour
*** Overnight charges:
$688.00 per NIGHT for overnight parking/storage of vehicles
and/or equipment.

BASE CAMP
If catering or base camp is at a facility, a $500 per day charge will be added.
CUSTODIAL
There have been no changes made to the charge of $31 per hour as reimbursement for
custodial salaries if facilities are used on a Saturday, Sunday or holiday, or on weekdays
before 6:30 am or after 5:00 pm.
