SUPER T8 SYSTEMS - 8/2007
T8 ballasts while providing the
same light output. The second
important feature of the system
is the OCTRON XPS T8 lamp
which provides 11% higher initial
and 17% higher maintained
lumens than standard 700 series
T8 lamps. The XPS lamps also
provides over twice the lamp life
which drastically reduces
maintenance costs. XPS lamps
have a Color Rendering Index of
85 and are available in 4 color
temperatures (3000K, 3500K,
4100K and 5000K).

The High Efficiency T8 Systems
utilizing the QUICKTRONIC QHE
electronic ballasts and OCTRON
XPS lamps provide the following
benefits when compared to
standard electronic ballasts and
700 series T8 lamps:
• 20% reduction in energy costs
• 2.4 times longer lamp life
which reduces both maintenance costs and components
entering the waste stream
• 17% higher mean lumens for
higher maintained light levels
• Superior color in a choice of 4
color temperatures to enhance
the look of any space
• Lowest cost of ownership
and fastest return on
investment to improve cash
flow for any business
When you couple this system with
highly efficient luminaires such as
the Lithonia Lighting ES8*
luminaire (shown above), the
energy savings can be up to 44%
compared to standard T8 systems.

minimum lamp and ballast

www.cee1.org. CEE has requirements for 4-foot full wattage 32W
T8 lamps and energy saving 4foot lamps (i.e 30W, 28W & 25W
SUPERSAVER® lamps)
