“Step By Step” Procedure**
Industrial Scientific and Medical (ISM) equipment
This type of equipment includes laboratory, medical & scientific equipment, specifically including
signal generators, measuring receivers, frequency counters, flow meters, spectrum analyzers, chemical
analysis machines, electronic microscopes, switched mode power supplies (when not incorporated in
other equipment) and similar equipment.

We will help you:
1. Determine if your product fits the EN55011 (emissions) or EN61000-6-1 or 2, emissions (-1 is
residential -2 is industrial) and EN61000-6-3 or 4 immunity (-3 is residential, -4 is industrial) and
criteria.
2. Test and achieve compliance to:
a) EN55011 or and possibly EN61000-6-1 or 2 and possibly EN61000-3-2, & -3 emissions
requirements
b) EN61000-6-3 or 4 immunity requirements
c) IEC 61000-4-X basic immunity standards
You receive from D.L.S.:
3. Test reports to cover all testing.
You will then:
4. Issue the Declaration of Conformity after you have met the essential requirements of all
applicable Directives.
5. Place the CE mark on your product.
6. Market your product in all of Europe.
EMISSIONS
If testing to EN55011:
Class B Limits should be used for “domestic” environments (residential, commercial & light industrial).
Class A Limits should be used for “industrial” environments, e.g. manufacturing plants.
If testing to EN61000-6-1 or 2 use standard:
