PURPOSE
The basic version of the communication units MEg201.2 / MEg201.4 with RTU functions provides
remote transmission of states of binary inputs, commands and measured data from connected instruments via Ethernet network. The units are fitted either with two (MEg201.2) or four
(MEg201.4) Ethernet interfaces. The instruments installed in the station technology can be connected through two RS485 serial interfaces.
The units MEg201.2 / MEg201.4 implement the standardized communication protocol according
to EN 60870-5-104 and allow integration of connected devices into the SCADA system, either
directly or through concentrators.
The units MEg201.2 / MEg201.4 include a processor that optimizes and controls data transmission, communicates with connected devices through technological network, allows pre-processing of data read from measuring devices, supervises connected devices and automatically
transmits data to a host system in case of an event.
The basic functional setting of the units is configured by the manufacturer. The setting can be
changed using the program M202Param, the Ethernet interfaces are configured via internet.
