Objective:
Thisisacombinedlectureandcomputerlabcoursedesignedtopresent:1)thephysical
principlesofremotesensing,2)theapplicationofairborneandsatelliteimagerytothestudyof
thebiosphere,withanemphasisonvegetation,and3)thehands-onapplicationofremote
sensingprinciplesusingtheErdasImagineimageprocessingprograminlabexercises.The
scheduleoflecturesandlabsarecoordinated.

Grading:
Yourgradewillbebasedontheassignmentsandexamslistedinthetablebelow.Notethat
undergraduateandgraduatestudentrequirementsaredifferent.Sampleproblemsorreview
sheetswillbepassedoutpriortotheexamsasastudyguide.Detailedinstructionsforother
