SMD surface-mount resistors
Resistors SMD 0805 and SMD 1206 are made using Thick Film Technology. On a high alundum (Al2O3)
content ceramic plate, resistive layer connected with tin plated leads is applied in layers and secured with
protective coating. Characteristic of SMD type surface-mount resistors are small dimensions, high stability of
electric parameters, high reliability and high mechanical strength. These resistors find use in
telecommunication devices, computers, audio-video equipment, medical equipment and military hardware.

Packaging
SMD resistors are batch processed or loosely packed into plastic bags depending on supply. The minimum
order quantity of the same resistance value is 20 pc.
Marking
Resistors are marked with a 4-digit code.
For resistance below 100Ω: ABRC – where ABC marking digits, R comma placement
E.g.. 24R3 – 24.3Ω
For resistance from 100Ω – ABCX – where ABC marking digits, X number of zeroes at the end
E.g.. 2052 – 20500Ω= 20.5 kΩ
