The Elimination Method [7.3]
After learning the Substitution Method, students are often tempted to just choose that method for all problems,
and not learn the Elimination Method well. This is a mistake. There are many systems of equations, like the
one below, that can be solved much more easily by the Elimination Method. You must be able to use both
methods, and to determine which is more appropriate for a given system of equations.
