Description

The TS/TS Thermistor Temperature Sensor is a wall‑mounted thermistor room temperature sensor in a compact enclosure designed for good thermal response.

FuncTionaliTy

Housing: The TS/TS sensor is suitable for mounting on a wall.

It consists of a clip‑on cover and a base unit which contains the

10 kΩ thermistor connected to a terminal block.

The cover can be easily sprung off by applying simultaneous pressure to the right and left sides at the top and bottom of the front cover.

Mount the sensor on an inside wall approximately 1.3 m (54") from the floor (or in the specified location) to allow exposure to the average zone temperature.

Maintain a mounting clearance of approx. 10 cm (4") to both sides of the sensor in order to allow free airflow.

Do not mount the sensor on an outside wall, on a wall containing water pipes, or near air ducts. Avoid locations exposed to discharge air or radiation from lights, appliances, or the sun.

Keep wiring at least 305 mm (1 ft.) away from large inductive loads such as motors, line starters, lighting ballasts, and large power distribution panels. Run sensor wiring separately from

50 Vac or greater power wiring.

The sensor can be mounted directly onto walls (see fixing centres diagram above), in which case the type of screws appropriate to the wall material should be used.

The sensor type module must be set up with the correct scaling.

The recommended method of setting the sensor type scaling is to use SET. For all IQ2 series controllers with firmware version

2.1 or greater, or IQ3 series controllers, the SET Unique Sensor

Reference given below should be used:

Alternatively, set sensor type scaling mode 5, characterise, and enter scaling manually using table below.

Note that for IQ3 the scaling mode and exponent (E) do not need to be set up.
