Eligibility
1. General Conditions:
a) For taking admission to the various courses run by GHRCE, Nagpur (An Autonomous
Institution). One should fulfill the eligibility criterion prescribed by the institute.
b) Eligibility Certificate is required to those students who have passed their qualifying
exam. from other than G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering Nagpur/ RTM Nagpur
University Nagpur/ Maharashtra State Education Board.
c) The students who do not pass the qualifying examinations from the organizations
mentioned in para 2 above shall have to produce the Eligibility Certificate from the
authority of the institute.
d) Eligibility shall be seen on the day of counseling i.e.: a candidate may not be eligible on
the 1st day of counseling but may be eligible on subsequent days of counseling due to
what so-ever reasons. He/she shall be considered for counseling on the day he/she proves
his/her eligibility against the available seats at that point time.
e) Mere possession of the prescribed minimum academic qualifications does not entitle a
candidate for admission to a program. Candidates would be required to fulfill other
conditions as spelt out in the Admission Brochure.
f) Candidates, who are appearing in the qualifying examination this year and are expecting
to pass the same, can also compete for counseling for a program, but they would be
considered for admission, if they fulfill minimum eligibility criteria.
g) Candidates securing a valid GATE /CAT/MAT scores shall be preferred over general
eligible candidates.

i. Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3). Master’s Degree Examination in
the Regular course of this University or any other recognized
University, in any subject, in Commerce Management, Arts,
Social Sciences, Engineering/Technology or Equivalent and
have secured at least 50% of marks (45% for sc/st
candidates) in the Bachelor’s Degree examination in
aggregate
ii. Bachelor’s Degree/Master’s degree in the correspondence
course recognized by law
iii. Candidates should have a valid CAT/MAT Score.
i. Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3) pattern in any discipline with a
minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate, (including all
subjects studied at Bachelor’s level except those subjects
where only pass marks are required and which do not
contribute to the total in the final degree mark sheet) with
mathematics as one of the subjects at either intermediate or
+2 (20+2) or equivalent examination, or Bachelor’s level (as
a main or a subsidiary subject).
ii BCA and B.Sc. (CS) degree of a Bachelor’s Degree with
Mathematics/Statistics/Business Mathematics as one of the
subjects in any one of the semester or year in addition to
Mathematics at + 2 level.
c) Postgraduate Programmes (by research) and

i. A first class B.E/B.Tech. /B.Pharm. or equivalent in concerned

ii. At least three year experience in R&D in
Industry/Research/organization/College/University etc.
M.Tech.- Ph.D. Combined Programme
i. A first class B.E/B.Tech. /B.Pharm. or equivalent in concerned
field
Ph.D Programme
i. Master Degree or equivalent in concerned field.
or
ii. A faculty member of a technical institute having first class
bachelor degree in Engineering/MCA/M.Sc. (IT) or equivalent
having at least two years experience in work related to R&D.
2. Procedure for getting eligibility certificate:A candidate who has not passed qualifying examinations prescribed by the Institute /RTM
Nagpur University, Nagpur / Maharashtra State Education Board:i) Shall apply to the Controller of Examinations of the Institute in a prescribed form
available in the student section of the Institute,
ii) He/She has to pay Rs. 200/- as application fee at counter of Account Section of the
Institute,
Thereafter the controller of examinations shall place the application before the Course
Equivalence Committee of the Institute. On the favorable report of Course Equivalence
Committee, the Eligibility Certificate shall be issued to the candidate. The Eligibility
Certificate shall be issued on a prescribed format.
Important Instructions for the Admitting Authority & Students
Notes:1. Admission shall be finalized only after Submission of Original documents required to be
submitted at the time of admission to the concerned programme/course.
2. This Eligibility Certificate is issued provisionally only and it can be withdrawn at any
time if it is found / observed afterward in verification that it is issued through over-sight.
3. The concerned Colleges /Institution/Deptt., Section, shall be responsible for noncompliance of any of the provisions contained in the Ordinance/Directions/Rules
governing admission to the concerned course, Ph.D. registration.
4. The students from other states Seeking Admissions to the professional and other courses
of this Institutes shall submit Verification Certificate of their qualifying examination
(12th or Graduation or Post-Graduation) from their respective Boards, Universities within
one month of their Admissions in this Institute until then their Admission shall be purely
Provisional.
5. Unless the Verification Certificate is submitted as specified in Sr. No. : 4, the Institute
shall not accept the Examination Forms of the concerned students.
6. Issuing of Eligibility Certificate does note carry right of Admission to the course or Ph.D.
registration.
7. The Concerning Admission authority must confirm & satisfy all rules & ordinance
provisions about the particulate course, Ph.D. registration etc.
