PROGRESS ENERGY CANADA LTD. CAMP RULES Progress Energy Canada Ltd. ("Progress Energy") has established camp rules as set out in herein (the "Camp Rules") to ensure a safe, pleasant and comfortable environment for all workers and guests in a Progress Energy Camp (a "Camp"). All individuals who stay at or visit a Camp are required to strictly adhere to the Camp Rules. Progress Energy reserves the right to immediately remove any individual from a Camp without prior notice for any violation of the Camp Rules. All Camps are DRY. Possession and/or consumption of alcohol and/or illegal nonprescription drugs ("Prohibited Substances") in a Camp are strictly prohibited. Possession, storage or use of firearms, bows, crossbows, explosives, ammunition or other weapons, or flammable or incendiary material including oil, gas, propane, charcoal, incense, mosquito coils, fireworks or candles is strictly prohibited ("Prohibited Items"). Progress Energy may conduct inspections and searches for Prohibited Items or Prohibited Substances in all Camp buildings (including occupant assigned rooms and personal effects), grounds, support equipment, common areas, and all vehicles, in its sole discretion, at any time and without prior notice, for the purpose of ensuring compliance with Camp Rules and all laws by all individuals who stay at or visit a Camp. Local authorities such as Police, health and fire officials, and sniffer dogs may participate in such inspections and searches. If the Camp occupant refuses to allow search of his/her personal effects and/or vehicle, such Camp occupant's Camp privileges may be revoked and Camp management may refuse to give such Camp occupant access to the assigned room, vehicle or personal effect(s) until a peace officer is summoned and conducts the search. Progress Energy reserves the right to refuse entry to a Camp to any individual who is believed to be under the influence of any Prohibited Substances, or who is believed to be in possession of any Prohibited Substances or Prohibited Items. Abuse (verbal or physical) towards any individuals will not be tolerated. Use of offensive language or conduct will not be tolerated. Smoking is strictly prohibited in Camp and Camp support structures. Smoking is permitted only in designated smoking areas only. Please use proper receptacles provided for ashes and butts. Tampering with fire protection or detection equipment is a criminal offence and is strictly prohibited. All guests of any Camp occupant must be registered and be working for or on behalf of Progress Energy. Pets are not allowed anywhere in Camp, supporting structures, parking area or Camp site. All staff and guests are responsible to be familiar with the Camp evacuation plan and designated muster areas. Tampering with or modifying Camp equipment and or infrastructure is strictly prohibited. All Camp occupants must notify the Camp Manager/Clerk upon check in, check out, time in, time out etc. All Camp occupants are personally responsible for damages to that occupant's room. Occupants are required to immediately report any problems or damages to a room or common areas (kitchen, rec rooms, dining room etc.). Quiet time commences at 11:00 pm. Excessive noise is not tolerated at any time. Please be respectful at all times as night shift guests may be sleeping during the day. Headwear and dirty clothing must be removed prior to entering dining area and or recreation rooms. Suitable attire must be worn. No bare feet. Remove all work coveralls, dirty clothing and outside footwear in designated boot rooms prior to entering main Camp structure. Camp committee meetings or suggestion boxes will be utilized for requests, complaints, compliments or communications you wish to share. Progress Energy may establish and implement additional rules and regulations as general policy or Camp specific and will communicate such additional rules and regulations to staff guests and visitors. Progress Energy is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal property, materials, vehicles or other property not related to the Camp which is brought onto location or kept in Camp. Camp guests and staff are solely responsible for securing and protecting their own property. Any Camp occupant, guest or other individual determined to be in violation of any of the Camp Rules is subject to sanctions as determined by Progress Energy in its sole discretion, which sanctions may include (but are not limited to) immediate removal from Camp, loss of Camp privileges at all Progress Energy Camps and a ban from all Progress Energy work sites.
