Enclosure Integrity Certification Course Date: 13th & 14th April 2015 Venue: Energy Conservation Australia Head Office - Melbourne Enclosure Integrity Certification - Course Overview LEVEL 1 – INTRODUCTION TO ENCLOSURE FUNDAMENTALS Level 1 is targeted at witnessing authorities, designers, and consultants. Learn about post-discharge behavior of different agents types (Halocarbon and Inert gases), hold time of agent, and peak pressure theory. Understand circumstances when it is acceptable to specify a longer or shorter hold time. Optimize enclosure designs for peak pressure, hold time, and pressure relief vents. Also, there is a section for witnessing authorities to help AHJs understand what to look for during an Enclosure Integrity Test. Modules include: • Introduction to clean agent suppression systems • Research and experiments relating to peak pressures at discharge • Peak pressures theory • Hold time theory and recent experiments • Designing enclosures for hold time requirements • Testing enclosures for hold time requirements • Optimizing enclosures for hold time and peak pressure • Witnessing an enclosure integrity test LEVEL 3 – ADVANCED ENCLOSURE INTEGRITY TESTING AND EVALUATION Level 3 is targeted at testers who are comfortable with performing a basic test and need to be able to do larger and more complex tests. Technicians will learn how to determine the lower leakage fraction F, by doing leakage neutralization tests. This course will cover more of the theory behind the test concepts and give the technicians a deeper understanding of what they are measuring and why. Also, more advanced tests on attached volumes and subfloors will be covered in detail. Modules include: • Advantages of measuring lower leaks • Measuring lower leakage with a flex duct • Measuring lower leakage with plastic on the ceiling • ISO 14520 method for estimating F • Subfloor testing • Multi-fan testing • Extended discharge systems • Attached volume testing LEVEL 2 – BASIC ENCLOSURE INTEGRITY TESTING AND PEAK PRESSURE ANALYSIS Level 2 is targeted at testers. This course will teach technicians about door fan test equipment, including basic theory and operation, and give them the foundation to run a single fan Enclosure Integrity Test in accordance with NFPA 2001, ISO 14520, or EN 15004. Technicians will become familiar with the enclosure test form (a step by step guide for conducting a test), and how to use Retrotec’s FanTestic Integrity software. Learn about the differences in test procedures between NFPA and ISO standards. Also, learn about peak pressure evaluation and how to measure free vent area. Modules include: • Using smoke to locate air leakage • Pressure gauge training • Door fan equipment training • Conducting a total enclosure leakage test • Peak pressure and free vent area evaluation • Analyzing results with software • Troubleshooting • Leak location in failed rooms 1/251 Ferntree Gully Road, Mt Waverley VIC 3149 Email: enquiries@energyconaust.com.au Phone: 1300 742 296 Web: www.energyconaust.com.au 2 Energy Conservation Australia Course Agenda Day 18.00 am Introduction / Outline of Training Course 8.15 am Level 1 Presentation 10.00 am Break 10.30 am Level 1 Exam 11.30 am Level 2 Presentation Day 2 8.00 am Review of Level 1 & 2 Exams 9.30 am Gauge Exercises 10.00 am Break 10.30 am Level 3 Presentation 12.30 pm Lunch 1.00 pm Lunch 1.30 pm 1.30 pm Level 2 Exam 3.00 pm Case Study 4 & 5 2.30 pm Break 4.30 pm Finish 3.00 pm 5.00 pm Case Study 1-3 Door Fan Hands on Training Stations Finish 1/251 Ferntree Gully Road, Mt Waverley VIC 3149 Email: enquiries@energyconaust.com.au Phone: 1300 742 296 Web: www.energyconaust.com.au 3 How To Register: How To Pay: Tel: 1300 742 296 Email: anthony@energyconaust.com.au Mail: PO Box 75, Mt Waverley, VIC 3149 Number of attendees: Total amount: $ Venue: Energy Conservation Australia Head Office 1/251 Ferntree Gully Road, Mt Waverley, VIC 3149 Event Price: AUD $1,995.00 + GST per person Includes: Lunch, Tea & Coffee Accommodation: Contact Bruce County Hotel and quote ‘Energy Conservation Australia’ to receive your discounted accommodation rate $179.00 rate inc. continental breakfast.
