CGRN UPROMISE® - HOW IT WORKS How does the Upromise Referral System work? For your protection, clients are required to submit a referral to your office prior to signing on with you. Here's how it works: 1. If the client is not already a member of Upromise, they need to join at www.upromise.com. 2. After logging in, members should visit upromise.com/CB to submit a referral. (They will click on either "buy" or "sell" a home, and follow the steps there to submit basic information and select your office as the recipient of the referral.) If your customers need help with this process, they can contact Upromise Customer Care at 1-800-Upromise. 3. Once the member has submitted a referral to your office, you will receive that referral through the CGRN website. To do this: a. Log-in to the CGRN website. (Call 888-912-2476 if you don't know your login information.) b. Click on the "Receive" tab to see your referrals c. Click on the referral number to process the referral. (At this point you can accept or reject the referral, accepting the referral means you agree to pay the 20% referral fee from your commission.) d. When you know the close date of the referral, update this information on the CGRN website. e. When the referral closes, change the status of the referral to closed in CGRN and enter the final sale price. 4. Mail your referral fee of 20%, payable to "Referral Center" to the address below: Attn: Referral Center Closing Coordinator 1 Campus Dr. P.O. Box 0642 Parsippany, NJ 07054 5. Your customer will see their college contribution in their Upromise Account within 30 days after the transaction closes. What can it do for your business? Upromise® is designed to create incremental business for its partners. New clients and customers are highly motivated to maintain long-term loyalty to Upromise® participating companies. For Sales Associates, Upromise is a tool to help win new clients, differentiate ones self and fight competitors discounting commissions. Customers will truly understand the value of full service real estate — that making one of the most significant purchases of their lifetime, a home, will benefit their loved ones with an education. For Brokers, this is an outstanding recruiting and retention tool. The incentive of savings for a child's education is motivational beyond any other form of rewards or affinity program that a competitor can offer. Benefits to your Customer: Customers who buy or sell a home with a Coldwell Banker ® broker will receive 1/3% of the sale price* to their Upromise® account. Coldwell Banker ® customers can involve their family and friends in helping them to save and have a percentage of their real estate transaction automatically contributed into their college savings account. Please note that all participating brokers will be charged a 20% referral fee for each customer lead that comes through the Upromise® program. *The 1/3% contribution assumes an evenly split 6% commission from participating real estate offices. Actual contribution may be higher or lower depending upon the commission and/or commission split associated with a particular transaction. Maximum contribution is $3,000 per purchase or sale. This real estate program is void in AL, AK, IA, KS, LA, MS, MO, NJ, OK, OR, TN and wherever else prohibited.
