One power supply unit delivers the internal voltages for the measuring transducer and relays. A current between 0..20 mA is connected to the measurement input. 6 relay contacts (N/O contacts) and 6 current outputs make the BCD code available for further use. Up to 38 uniform current tap-change positions are converted into a BCD code. The cable between the tap-changer and the REG-FI can be up to 100m long. REG-F I Transfer behaviour The BCD code signal at the output will change + 1 each time the input current is increased by 1 current tap-change position Id. The REG-FI is by default set to the tap-change positions specified when ordering. The GND I connection is bridged to measurement input Id at the circuit board. The earths of the REG-FI and the GND I are connected via an nterference suppression coil in the device. The current path must be connected to ground potential on one side of the cable. A common mode voltage greater 0.1 V AC is not allowed at the REG-FI input. Since each application has different earth and voltage conditions, the only general statement that can be made is that longer lines are possible if the parallel cables are shielded and have a larger distance to REG-FI cable.
