GETTING STARTED
iLead provides students the flexibility to choose workshop sessions on various communication and
leadership topics that align with your individual interests and schedule.
HERE’S HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
• Register online at http://ccl.ucsd.edu/registration/
• Start attending workshops! At your first session, ask for an ‘iLead Stamp Card’ and start collecting stamps.
Most workshops are worth 1 stamp, but select events are worth 2 stamps.
• Collect 10 stamps. Then submit stamp card and written reflection to complete the program.
• For more information on completing iLead, please visit the Center for Student Involvement, on the third floor of
Price Center East.
• Please note, participants who show up more than 15 minutes late to any iLEAD workshop will not be eligible to
receive a stamp.

Misogyny and Patriarchy

This workshop will explore micro-aggressive language rooted in patriarchy
and misogyny, and the ways in which we have been subjected to or perpetuate
this language in our family and friend dynamics, professional relationships,
interpersonal and romantic relationships. We will engage in thoughtful
discussion, and analyze the ways in which misogyny and patriarchy are
communicated through popular music, and additional forms of media.

will learn about the patriarchal structures that affect women in the

O’Meara uses a ʺcognitive-behavioralʺ approach to understanding social

personal and career goals, and will leave with tools to help reduce anxiety and
