REMOTE ALARM MODULE TAMlV
OPERATION GUIDE
OVERVIEW:
The Remote Alarm Module provides visual, audio, and secondaty electrical contacts as a response to an
alarm condition. The alarm condition is the application of 24 VAC or +24VDC to the J2 Connector. The
alarm response delay is user adjustable from approximately 30 seconds to approximately 3 minutes.
Overall Size: 4.75 in. x 3.0 in. x 1.1 in.
Audible alarm sound pressure level: 70dB
CONNECTIONS:
Alarm Power Input (J2):
+24 VDC or 24 VAC @ 100 mA
Remote Alarm Indicator (Jl): Contacts rated at: 0.5A @125VAC,
1A @ 24 VDC.
N.O. to C:
Normally Open during No Fault and deisy period.
N.C. to C:
Normally Closed during No Fault and delay period.
N.O. to C:
Contact Closed during Alarm state (i.e. after delay)
N.C to C:
Contact Opened during Alarm state (i.e. after delay)
OPERATION:
Alarm process begins with the application of power via J2 (+24
VDC or 24 VAC). A user selectable delay (via S2) occurr prior to
any alarm indications. DIP Switch S2 adjusts the delay by adding fixed increments. The minimum delay
is approximately 30 seconds, and is achieved by setting all four switches to the opposite side from the
additional delay screening (to the
d
right). The arrow below shows the
switch settings for minimum delay.

completed, the Alarm light will illuminate, the audible alarm will sound, and the relay contacts will switch.
Pressing the fmnt panel SILENCE button (SI) will silence the audible alarm, but the ALARM light will
remain illuminated, and the relay contacts will remain in the alarm state. The alarm circuit automatically
resets M e n the input alarm voltage to J2 is turned-off or removed.
