Upper Division GE: 9 units must be selected from coursework listed within Subject Explorations and/or American Institutions & all
must be listed as Writing Intensive (WI), taken no sooner than the semester in which junior standing (60 units) is achieved. “Fully GE
Certified” transfer students may need to take a 3 unit upper division GE course in the Comparative Culture Studies section. **
NOTE: Courses with the same prefix as the student’s major and used to satisfy major requirements WILL NOT apply to General Education.
