 Written instructions to the end user of EE equipment by Manufacturer/Distributor of EE equipment, ID Guardian d.o.o., OIB: 31176466745 Purpose: The purpose of these written instructions is to fulfill the obligations of the manufacturer under Article 8, of the Ordinance on management of waste electrical and electronic appliances and equipment (NN 42/14, 48/14, 107/14) and European WEEE directive 2012/19/EU (​
Waste electrical and electronic equipment). Content: This written instructions contain information on: 1.Reasons, the importance and responsibilities of separate collection of electrical and electronic equipment (hereinafter referred to as "EE waste") The reasons and the importance of collecting EE waste is to protect the environment and public health, conservation of energy resources, preservation of natural and water resources and the creation of new jobs and contribute to sustainable development. 2. Not to dispose of WEEE as unsorted municipal waste and to collect such waste separately: The dumping of electronic waste as unsorted municipal waste is forbidden. It is mandatory that such waste is collected separately from other waste. 3. The importance of the role and contribution of end users in the EE waste management and possible ways to reuse, recycling and other forms of recycling electronic waste: a) REUSED: Dispose of waste consider whether reused. b) SEPARATE AND RECYCLE: Sorting waste at the site of their creation enables better recycling, treatment and disposal. c) DISPOSE: If there are no other alternatives, waste is disposed of at designated places (recycling centers). 4. Places and systems of return and collection of electronic waste, and their role in the management of EE waste: There are systems of return and collection of electronic waste, and their role in EE waste management is invaluable. A complete list of approved collectors of EE waste in Croatia can be found on the website of the Environmental Protection Fund (​

). You can easily find collectors of EE waste in your country on website of your Ministry of Environmental Protection. 5. Potential impacts of EE waste on the environment, human health and safety, which are caused by disposal of hazardous substances that are an integral part of electrical and electronic equipment: Disposing of pollutants that are part of electrical and electronic equipment may affect the environment, human health and safety. 6. The meaning of the symbols in Appendix IV. Ordinance on management of waste electrical and electronic appliances and equipment (NN 48/14, 42/14) Symbols in Appendix IV. Rules have the meaning specified for separate collection of EE waste from other types of waste. LABELING SEPARATE COLLECTION OF ELECTRONIC WASTE: Labeling separate collection of EE waste consists of the crossed refuse collection with wheels. This label must be printed clearly, clearly and indelibly.
