Multi-Function Multi-Range Timer
Mode of Operations
Function 1: Delay On Operate
Function 2: Interval
When applying supply the relay is de-energized and
timing starts. The relay only energizes after the set time
is elapsed and will remain so until the supply is removed.
Example
Delaying energization of a load on applying power.
Function 3: Pulse Controlled Interval
When applying the supply the relay is energized and remains so until
the set time is elapsed. The relay will then de-energize until the supply
is removed and reapplied.
Example
Function 4: Equal Repeating
Permanent supply is applied to the unit. When closing contacts
6 & 7 the relay energises for the set time period. The relay then
de-energizes until contacts 6 & 7 are closed again.
Example
Delaying release after limit switch operation.
Energization of a load for a set time period.
When applying supply the set OF time period is activated where after
an equal ON time begins. This cycle is repeated until the supply is
removed.
Example
Switching a load on and off repetitively in equal intervals.

DEF1/F
Defrost Timer
Description
Microprocessor based defrost timer with four selectable cycle times and separately adjustable fan delay of 3 - 60 seconds and defrost time
range from 0.3 - 60 minutes. The defrost time can be overridden, starting the cooling time first when contact 5 & 6 are bridged permanently.
Contact 5 & 6 can also be used as a temperature override. Closing contact 5 & 6 during the defrost cycle will start the cooling cycle. Any
adjustment on the front potentiometers after the supply is applied is not acknowledged. This prevents unwanted changes of the time range.

Defrost Timer
Applying supply activates the set defrost time, where after the cooling time continues. At the beginning of the cooling time the set fan delay time starts to
prevent hot air from blowing into the cool room, after which the fan starts. The cycle time consists of both the cooling and the defrost time. Bridging pins
5 & 6 permanently activates the cooling time when the supply is applied. If pins 5 & 6 are only pulsed in the defrost time the cooling time starts. This function
can be used to cut short the defrost time if a thermostat is connected to pins 5 & 6 and closes at the set temperature.

phase reversal / excessive phase imbalance and phase angle error. The units detect all the above faults by measuring the NPS voltage of the
supply. The NPS voltage is fixed at 7% and can be calculated by the following formula: NPS voltage = 71 / V average (V high - ¼ V middle - ¾ V low)
Example
- Protects motors from single phasing and subsequently burning out
- Detects phase failure and reversal on voltage transformers.
- Protects forward and reverse operating machines.

SF1/K
Adjustable Phase-Failure / Phase Sequence Monitor
Description
The SF1 Monitors negative phase sequence (NPS) voltage to detect phase failure, phase reversal and phase imbalance. The NPS voltage
of the unit can be djusted from 7-15%. When any of these faults occur the unit will de-energize. The relay will only re-energize if the supply voltage
corrects itself. The unit will not react to a balanced voltage variation

Pump Protection Relay (Single Phase)
Mode of Operation
Voltage Monitoring
Current Monitoring
The unit starts monitoring current after the 6 sec start-up delay. If
the current drops below the set parameter the unit will trip the pump
for the DIP switch selectable recovery time. If the current rises above
the set parameter, the unit will trip for ± 10 sec, after which the pump
will restart. If an over current condition is detected three consecutive
times the unit will trip permanently until the power is removed and
reapplied.
The unit monitors voltage continuously and will trip the pump if the
voltage rises or drops below the set parameters. After the fault has
corrected itself the unit will automatically restart the pump and
resume normal operation.
Example
- Unit calibrated at 230 VAC without extending the parameters
will trip at 258V and 202V.
- The unit is calibrated at 225V with extended parameters. The
unit will trip at 270V and 180V.
Security Switch Trip
The security switch should control all manual pump operations. Any
monitoring equipment i.e. level controllers, pressure switches or time
switches would be connected in series between contact 7 & 8. The
pumps ON/OF control switch should also be connected in series to
above contacts.
Example
- Unit calibrated at 25A with a 30/5 CT with extended parameters
will trip at 29A and 22A.
- A unit calibrated at 4.5A connected directly to the motor (no CT)
without extending the parameters will trip at 5.27A and 3.96A.
Star / Delta Connection
If the pump connected to the Lp3 is a star/delta, contacts 8 & 9 must
be closed until the delta contact comes in, after which the unit will
start up as normal. This prevents any nuisance tripping in the transition
between star and delta.

Two Hand Control Modules
Description
The unit is designed for machines where the operator has to push two buttons to activate the machine itself (two hand control). A latch
facility is incorporated to use with a foot switch.
FEATURES
Two normal open inputs for two hand control
Latch input for foot control
Fixed time to activate both hand control
Power supply ON and Relay ON LEDs
Output 10A SPDT
Mode of Operation
Two hand control modular
Both buttons (No contacts) must be pushed within a fixed time (0.5s) to activate the output relay. If one is released, the relay de-energizes
instantaneously. To activate the relay is necessary to release also the other button and then push both contemporary. When both buttons are
pushed, the output relay can be latched by closing an external contact (terminals 4-7), in this case the output relay de-energizes only by opening
the latch or pushing one of the buttons. If both buttons are closed when the unit is powered up, the relay energizes instantaneously.

Pump Sequence Relay
Description
Pump sequence module is designed to optimize the wear on pumps, compressors or generators. The first input energizes the first pump and stores
this in non-volatile memory. Subsequent inputs will energize the next output. The number of inputs correspond to the number of outputs. After
power down or no inputs activated and an input is activated, the next in the sequence of outputs is activated. This ensure balanced usesage of
the pumps because the same pump is not activated at the beginning of a sequence.
FEATURES
Three normally open pressure switch inputs (voltage free)
Three normally open pump outputs
Permanent memory for next pump activated after power off
Output 10A SPDT
Mode of Operation
Pump Sequence Module
Closure of the first pressure switch the first pump will be energized. The second and third pressure switch will energize the second and third pump.
The number of pumps activated correspond to the number of pressure switches closed. If switch 2 opens the second pump will de-activate. The
position of the switches does not matter, just the number. If all switches are open no pump is activated, and the next switch closed will activate
the second pump. The next switch will activate the third pump. This ensures a spread of the work load between pumps.

Electronic Reset Timer
Mode of Operations
Function 1: Delay On Operate, Hold Reset
Function 2: Delay On, Pulse Reset
When applying supply the relay remains de-energized until
reset occurs. When the reset contact is released, the timer
starts running and the relay energises when the set time has
elapsed. When the reset contact closes again, the relay
release and the timer assumes a “ reset and hold” mode.
When the reset contact releases, the timer starts running and
the relay remains off until the set time has elapsed when the
relay will energise.
Example
When applying supply, the relay remains de-energised until the
reset occurs. When the reset contact closes, the timer starts
running and the relay energises when the set time has elapsed.
When the reset contact closes again, the relay de-energises
and the timing starts immediately regardless of pulse
duration. The relay energises after the set time has elapsed.
Example
Safety operation on door closure
Function 3: Interval, Hold Reset
Access boom control
Function 4: Interval, Pulse Reset
When applying supply the relay remains de-energised until the
reset occurs at which point the relay energises and the timer
assumes a “reset and hold” mode. When the reset contact
Example
When applying supply the relay remains de-energised until the
reset occurs at which point the relay energises and the timer
starts running regardless of the pulse duration. The relay deenergises when the set time has elapsed.
Example
Automatic start of backup systems
Conveyor belt break detection
