RANGE SAFETY CALENDAR

This Range Calendar is a FORECAST ONLY and circumstances will cause variations. Range Safety will issue
notification of changes to the calendar as they become known.
2.
Periodically Defense Research & Development Canada (DRDC) will close portions of Areas C and/or D on
short notice. On these occasions, the information will be passed to all concerned by radio and/or
telephone by Range Safety (call sign “ALBERTA ZERO").
3.
The Oil Access Area and the Kangaroo Rat on the northern edge of the Suffield Block are open to
Cenovus/Cardinal activities at all times. This road is also used extensively by military vehicles during training
exercises.
4.
Supervisors will ensure all personnel requiring entry to the military training area adhere to the detail
promulgated in the Range Calendar. In addition, personnel wishing to enter the area will obtain radio
clearance from “ALBERTA ZERO" before entering and prior to each subsequent move. They will also inform
“ALBERTA ZERO" upon leaving.
5.
The contents of the directive entitled "Safety at Suffield" will be read and understood by personnel prior to
entering the Range.
