light on/off motor on/off —AC field sensor —vibration sensor Programmable start time/date Battery check at launch Blinking LED shows current state Memory modes: Stop when full, Wrap around when full Download full logger in just "on" 90 seconds Non-volatile EEPROM retains data even if battery fails User-replaceable battery lasts one year Drop-proof to 5’ Motor on/off with AC-field sensor (H06-004-02) Magnetic field threshold: ~2 Gauss at 60 Hz. The logger will typically work with AC motors drawing 1 amp or more. Mount it on or close to the motor housing or to one phase of the power line to the equipment being monitored. "on" "off" Values in gray not recorded time AC-field sensor for mounting on motors (Part # H06-004-02) The logger must be mounted very close to (ideally directly on) the field source, as magnetic field intensities fall off rapidly with increasing distance from their source (motor, transformer, or even a single wire carrying a large AC current). While this may make it less convenient to attach the logger, it means that interference from other sources is less likely. he HOBO H6 loggers record On/Off or Open/Closed status changes, storing time, date, and state information for each change. Use your PC to readout and analyze the data or readout and relaunch while in the field using the optional HOBO Shuttle or HandCar software for Palm™ handhelds Operating Range: -20° to 70°C (-4° to 158°F), 0 to 95% relative humidity, non-condensing, non-fogging Capacity: 2000 state changes Time Resolution: 0.5 seconds Time Accuracy: 1 minute per week at 20°C (68°F) HandCar® software compatible OBO Shu H 8 patible m le Co tt HOBO® Shuttle-compatible Compliant with all relevant directives in the European Union (EU) Motor on/off with vibration sensor (H06-003-02) Vibration threshold: adjustable ~0.05 G to 0.5 G at 60 Hz (.0001 to .001” displacement). Angular response: the logger is sensitive to that part of the vibration that is perpendicular to the logger’s face. Light on/off (H06-002-02) Light threshold adjustment range: approximately 10 to 100 lumens/m2 (fluorescent light). Its sensitivity to incandescent light is about ten times greater. state open/closed Size/Weight: 60 x 48 x 19 mm (2.4 x 1.9 x 0.8”); approx. 29 grams (1oz.) Angular response: the logger is sensitive to that part of the AC field that is perpendicular to the logger’s face. Vibration sensor for convenient mounting (Part # H06-003-02) A vibration is only weakly dampened by distance, so that the logger need not be mounted directly on the source. However, this leads to the potential of interference from other sources. The logger’s threshold adjustment can be used to help discriminate against other sources. The vibration sensor will reliably detect vibrations greater than 0.05G which is roughly equivalent to the vibration produced by a household air conditioner when it is on. This logger will not work if the vibration is too small, such as the vibration from a household refrigerator. The light intensity threshold monitored is adjustable from approximately 10 to 100 lumens. The HOBO’s light sensitivity is peaked in the forward direction and can be taken advantage of to minimize the effect of other light sources when trying to determine the on/off state of a particular light source. Monitors when doors are open/closed using an internal magnetic reed switch and external magnet. External input cable included to monitor contact closures of remote devices or presence of positive DC voltages. Open/closed, contact closure (HOBO State, H06-001-02) Two inputs: a magnetic sensor mounted in the logger detects when doors are opened and closed (external magnet included). An external input cable detects contact closures. Spacing between HOBO State and external magnet: closed ≤ 1/4”; open ≥ 3/4” External contact input: passive relay switch or contact closure.
